Adobe & computer de-activation for ebooks

I've gone through several computers because of work and now I can't seem to activate my Adobe's DRM for my newest home computer after a lighting strike claimed my old computer.

I called adobe using the number on drivethrurpg (206-675-6304) only to find out it had been changed to 1-800-642-3623. When I called there, I never got a real person and was asked to spend $40/hr to have a tech talk to me about my problem.

All I want to do is remove my old work computers from the activation list.... Does anyone know how to remove computers from Adobe's activation?

This reminds me why I never ever buy anything with DRM.

You could try calling the computerized-giving-you-choices-of-which-none-apply-to-your-problem-number and just say nothing at all... maybe it works like here and a real person then answers the call, because they think there's someone on the phone who is incapable of communicating with the computer system.
