renau, just checking... we fought zombies and then aberrations, so we hit a milestone and recovered an action point, right? And did the negotiation with cultists and return of David's body count as a third encounter?

I usually don't count skill challenges as worthy encounters as you won't be using AP's during them, but sure. You've completed 3 encounters so far and reached 1 milestone. Remember though milestones aren't always after 2 encounters [/sblock]

Haven't heard anything from elec, waited enough time now. Sent an e-mail and PM and nothing. I spoke to his other DM's also and they haven't heard anything either so he's written out for now. If elec comes back, maybe he can 'ride to the rescue' or something [/sblock]

The group travels along the path the foul wizard laid out for them and despite a constant sense of being watched, nothing materializes and so you peer around a corner and see what has to be the portal. The darkness of the portal seems alive and all light seems absorbed by it. Something strains against the darkness, seeming to try and enter this world. There seems to be little time left!

From the ceiling crimson streams spill from the darkness above and a statue of some fell creature stands across from the open portal.

Unless I'm reading the map wrong, there's not much in the way of a suitable target, and Eithal's not exactly keen on a direct assault against whatever is 'straining' to get from that world to this one.[/sblock]

Grigo gets closer to the entrance of the room, the better to study the portal and figure out the safest apporach.

Remember that surprise rounds are only 1 action so either move, minor or standard. Note also that perception checks are now only minor actions to perform, not standard [/sblock]
