[sblock=ooc]I just wanted to give people a little time to respond to Georg's suggestion.[/sblock]

The party moves crosses the shallow part of the bay, through the town, past Daunton's newest fort and start up the path. After about a mile and a half you break camp. The Warden looks at the stars and spends a little time rambling about the power of the spirit, both the inner spirit and the spirits of the world. It's clear he holds them with high respect.

The party makes their preparations then takes their rest, with Incarnation keeping a watchful eye. While it is clear that the forest is filled with animal activity at nigh you are left undisturbed. In the morning people eat, and while Georg is looking over his spells the Warden invites Dane or Raiyek to spar with him a big.

He fights reserved, with patience and wisdom but a distinct lack of strength. Then you're back on the road. You pass a couple of small settlements filled with Jadeites and the Warden keeps his hood up when you do. When you finally reach the portal you note a group of three guards, obviously from the Jade Empire off to one side. They don't question or stop anyone but they are quite clearly paying attention to people's coming's and goings. The Warden sticks to the center of the group.

[sblock=ooc]Everyone gets 208 xp. Sorry stonegod.

You should have used one days rations, the other day being provided on the boat.[/sblock]

Rurdev looks a bit jealous at the sparring between the Warden and the others. Shrugging his shoulders he goes back to sharpening his axes and help setting up camp.

[sblock=ooc]If it's okay I'd like to purchase a eberron shard of lightning(+1 to damage with lightning attack; attaches to lightning axe.) Hey Nebten, don't forget you owe me 150gp. :)

Dane goes off in the morning to look for food and water in the morning during early exercises.

[sblock=DM] Take 10 on Nature for a 15 to Forage for food in the beginning of the day. [/sblock]

As they are walking, Dane remarks, "Thought ya from her'. Wat ya worrid 'bout? 'n how da stars look like? Dafnin said da other nite de said 'Trust in Danger.' Any ting new?"

Dane will walk at the front of the group. He'll keep his axe within easy reach but he doesn't want to give off a threatening appearance.

[sblock=Rurdev] I'm very aware of it. I wanted to start knocking my debt down, but the party wanted to keep the funds in a group pile until the end of the adventure :( I like to pay off my debts as soon as possible. [/sblock]

"The Jade Empire is a dangerous place. The Oni are cunning, patient and ever watchful. The longer we can travel without my name being mentioned, the better." The Warden said quietly. After a moment more of thought he added. "I saw the same in the stars again tonight, and a strong number of ancestral formations, as if an important event would soon occur."

[sblock=Dane]That works for me.[/sblock]

Incarnation regards the morning activities quietly, adding nothing. He was already standing when the others were ready, and kept near the back as usual.

At the gate, he paused momentarily to get a look and feel for the magic, having never seen the like this close. It was a momentary curiosity. He kept up with the others, not talking unless spoken to.[sblock=OOC]Incarnation should just start a rampage for his extra 42 xp.[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]We keep track of food?! To be honest, I haven't bothered with it for the entirety of Hadrak's career. Kinda like Jack Bauer; you never see him eat (or go to the bathroom), even though he benefits from far less off-screen opportunities than any other heroes I have ever seen!

Well, I also have +8 to Nature so I guess I'll take 10 to forage with Dane.

Unless there is anyone selling food in the vicinity!

Hadrak whistles gaily and go along with the flow, waiting for his turn to go through the gate.

The party passes through with out incident, and finds morning on the other side as well. A much more lively morning at that. Around the other side of the portal rest busy market in the center of a small village. All the buildings seem new, certainly not older than five years of age. It's hard to take in, over the noise of the market.

You hear Draconic, Magari, Alarian and even Tsugo all being spoken at once. It's enough, of itself, to overwhelm the senses for a moment. That's when you notice that the building's aren't all the same. Most are of the Jadeite style but then you see familiar Dauntonian structures as well and those that would be better suited for the Valley of Bone, all too close together, as if competing to be close to this point. The center of this villages world, is the trade of the portal.

"Welcome to Seiho." says the Warden. He doesn't seem thrilled to be here. "I'll go buy some horses." Then with a look to Incarnation. "And a wagon."

[sblock=ooc]Oh, didn't I tell you? You're on an Epic Journey. You so need to eat when you're on an Epic Journey. But look! A town!

So if you don't have food, just buy it now and subtract a day. Unless you don't need to eat, or plan to forage every day. . . or you have some other trick up the sleeve.

The village features a shrine to the spirits, a tea house with Inn, a temple to Cipactonal, an army barracks and Inn with tavern. [/sblock]
