Advanced D20 by Sword & Sorcery

Since the quarterly's so damn late (again), here's some upcoming
releases for WW and SSS:

April:
Exalted Players Guide
Clan Novel Saga 4
Relics and Rituals: Excalibur
Castle Mistmoore

May:
Dark Ages FAe
Exalted: Day dark as night (fiction)
In the Blood
Legacy of the Dragons Bestiary
Advanced D20
Edge of Infinity: the Scarred Planes
Heroes of Norrah: Casters and Priests

Damn, guess I did the right thing when I missed out on 3.5....

You weren't the only one that missed it. I knew about Relics and Rituals: Excaliber (STILL have no idea what that is), but I must have missed reading that one...

As for skipping 3.5 I won't judge people that don't use it. I will say there are aspects of 3.5 I like (better paladin, better druid, and better bard) versus stuff I don't like (poke-paladin, some of the DR rules, and nerfing of spell focuses, spell pentration and of course wizard specialization)

I was just taking about savin myself some $$.

I've been using SRD for a while, playing a 3.25 style of game (most notably updating the classes), but not thrilled enough to go out and go for the 3.5 all the way.

Now, this might just be the light to lead the way from this loose-paper-madness!!

Very possible Heretic. But if someone asks, I don't know a DAMN thing about it. I DO know what the cover art for Edge of Infinity looks like. :)

Bestiality?!

How did THAT one get past the decency standards for D20 products?

Thats an age ol'Tradition followed by many a D20 designer.

(from Green Ronin)
The d20 core rules let you play half-orcs and half-elves, but why stop there? Bastards & Bloodlines gives you nearly 30 new half-races to play, including half-trolls, half-nagas, half-giants, and even half-umber hulks! Over a dozen new templates, including half-medusas and half-beholders, add even more options to the mix. As if that wasn't enough, Bastards & Bloodlines also offers players new feats (including "bloodline" feats), new spells, and prestige classes like the Brood Warrior and the Changeling.

Green Ronin is doing an Advanced PH, GMG, and Bestiary. Now, "advanced d20", whatever that is.

Make your bet: It will introduce two new alignment axis, add lots of contradictory new rule subsystems, that will each use a different mechanism (one with d20+ability, one with d20 under ability, one with d100, one with dice pools, etc.). It will bring back racial level limits.

That way, they'll bring the "advanced" back into AD&D.
