Advanced D20 by Sword & Sorcery

Necromancer Games IS still slated to do City of Brass, with or without Rob Kuntz' input. I don't know WHEN in 2004, but I'm sure they are still doing it Gez.

(Yeah it does look like the City of Brass but doesn't mean this is the ONLY plane that will get covered.)

It definitely won't be Rob Kuntz' CoB. NG and Kuntz severed their business relationship over a year ago. Kuntz' CoB was just released by Kenzer & Co. for their HackMaster game. There's more to it than that but it is probably not appropriate to comment on it here. You may want to visit Kenzer's boards, NG's boards, and Kuntz' own boards for more information.

Even so, I look forward to see Necromancer Games' CoB more than the Hackmaster one. Color me crazy, but I like them guys since they are consistant AND fairly rules saavy.

Ditto.

Plus Necromancer doesn't even know when yet. With them all being part time or free lancers it is hard for them to get stuff out in a timely manner. When it comes out it is worth the wait, though. Look at Lost City of Barakus, put out through Troll Lords, or their new Judges Guild Wilderlands Gazeteer. Stuff very much worth the wait.

I definately agree. NG is one of the best gaming companies out there. I have yet to be disappointed with any of my purchases.

Yeah well my hope is they'll make CoB OGC like some of their stuff. I would like to use that in a Scarred Lands game. (Especially since we already have a city. Save me the trouble of a map! ;) )

Why would it being OGC matter to you ? Are you running the game in some kind of public forum?

Green Ronin is doing an Advanced PH, GMG, and Bestiary. Now, "advanced d20", whatever that is.

Make your bet: It will introduce two new alignment axis, add lots of contradictory new rule subsystems, that will each use a different mechanism (one with d20+ability, one with d20 under ability, one with d100, one with dice pools, etc.). It will bring back racial level limits.

That way, they'll bring the "advanced" back into AD&D.

I think they should have called it "d21" or maybe "d20++".
