Advanced D20 by Sword & Sorcery

I like d21 -- I should tinker with one of my d20 to add a "2" before the "1" on its evil side. :)

But otherwise, being the geek I am, I prefer d20++.
And of course, when they want to do Advanced Advanced d20, they'll call it d20#.

:D

But after two pages, we still have pretty much no idea of what "Advanced d20" is? Somebody's gotta know somethin'.

Oooh! I do! Wait, that's me.

From the Alliance Online Catalog:

The Advanced d20 Compendium is a companion volume to the Players Handbook and other d20 core rulebooks, providing a wealth of new rules options, plus expanded classes, new skills, new combat systems, and more.

Not much, but more than we had before.

Thanks GW. I know this helps some. Still wish I knew WHERE and what they are drawing from. Obviously some S&SS sources, (EQ, WC, RL (ravenloft folks not Real life), and possible other S&SS affiliates/sources.) But one wonders WHAT all is being used...

Actually I find all four of these products interesting...

WWP 16700 Sword & Sorcery: Adventure Atlas Of Stone Keep $15.95
Sword & Sorcery: Adventure Atlas Of Stone Keep
The first of the Adventure Atlas series, Stone Keep adds a new dimension to roleplaying. Nine 11" x 17" full-color grid maps detail a keep from outer walls to interior layout. A 16-page booklet describes special features and supplies rules 100% compatible with 3rd Edition and the D20 System.

WWP 16701 Adventure Atlas: Dragon's Lair $15.95
Adventure Atlas: Dragon's Lair
The second installment in the Adventure Atlas series, Dragons Lair adds a new dimension to roleplaying, introducing nine 11" x 17" full-color maps detailing a dragons hideaway, a cavernous pit formed by the collapse of an ancient ruin.

WWP 16711 Relics & Rituals: Excalibur $34.99
Relics & Rituals: Excalibur
Draw the sword from the stone. Quest for the sacred relics of your faith. Defeat all comers in a tournament of arms. Slay giants and dragons. Command the sorcery of Merlin or Morgan le Fay. Forge your own Camelot your own legend! Relics & Rituals: Excalibur is a genre sourcebook, blending the trappings of Arthurian myth with the familiar ruleset of the d20 System. New spells, magic items, prestige classes, and more can be used to build an entirely Arthurian-style campaign, or to add elements of chivalry and courtly romance to any existing d20 campaign.

WWP 16721 Advanced d20 Compendium $34.99
Advanced d20 Compendium
The Advanced d20 Compendium is a companion volume to the Players Handbook and other d20 core rulebooks, providing a wealth of new rules options, plus expanded classes, new skills, new combat systems, and more.

I think the price tags give some idea on size and format...

Later!

Thanks Neghvar. Though I'm curious as to WHY they chose Relics and Rituals for a book on Arthurian stuff. I mean couldn't they just have used something like "Mysticism and Might?" Or something like that? I mean R&R is OUR book! :p Not theirs. :p But again thanks for the insights.

Found this over on Amazon.com:

Hardcover: 224 pages
Publisher: Sword & Sorcery Studios; (May 2004)
ISBN: 1588469611

Thanks!

I hereby pronounce 2004 the Year of Arthurian d20!

Let's see: the R&R Excalibur book, Legends of Excalibur: Arthurian Adventures, Love and War. The Medieval book from Green Ronin might also be applicable. Did I miss anything?

CC,

I was going to say the Year of the Planes myself but this is certainly alters some of that.

Still confused as to why they needed to use the Relics and Rituals title to sell this book.
