Advanced Learning at unusual levels

I recently started playing a Human Paragon/Warmage. Hitting 6th level, 3rd level warmage, nets the Advanced/Eclectic (PhB II) Learning ability.

Given that I'm getting this ability while being able to cast 2nd level spells rather than 1st level spells, has made much of the advice I can find less helpful. FYI, The other Advanced Learning Spells would be 4th, 6th and 9th level spells.

So, any recommendations?

I've compiled a (by no means exhaustive) list of spells from SpC and CM that are 2nd or lst level. I've primarily looked for spells that I can use for combinations with the Conjurer in our party (who focuses on Battlefield Control), or spells that have a secondary ability besides direct damage. I don't have any PhB II spells, and those additions would be appreciated.

At the moment, "Luminous Swarm" looks interesting especially if the Gnome Conjurer player is interested in "Fever Dream" (these two spells have a combined effect.)

You might want to look at the alternate class feature in PHBII that allows you to take a spell of any school, not just evocation (although 1 level lower than your maximum).

Not quite - it allows you to take a non-Evocation spell of your maximum level... it's just that the spell is considered one level higher than normal for you :)

So he can take a 2nd-level non-Evocation spell... it's just that it will be a 2nd level spell like Charm Person or Ray of Enfeeblement, rather than a 2nd level spell like Invisibility or Glitterdust.

Ah yes, that's what I was trying to remember. :)

At the moment I'd love help with either Advanced Learning or Eclectic Learning (PhB II) class features. It's easier for me to list the applicable evocations for reference, than all 1st level Sor/Wiz spells.

I have Use Magic Device as a class skill via adaptive learning (Human Paragon) to grant some versatiliy so it makes the variant a little less attractive if I can find some good candidates for Advanced Learning.

Did I mention I won't be able to get my Spell Compendium back before the next session? I could really use some help.

From PHBII:

Seeking Ray (level 2 evocation) - a good choice... a ranged touch attack ignores cover and concealment (4d6 electricity) that gives you +4 to hit with subsequent ray attacks.

Electric Vengeance wouldn't be bad either in case you get forced into melee...
