[Adventure] A Boy and His Dog (DM: stonegod; Judge: r1)

With her mind stricken by the tainted creature's power, Johanna acted on primal instinct. She lashed out with her spear against one of the more agile beasts, attempting to put it down. Her twisted sense of perception caused the blow to land well short, nearly wrenching the spear from her grasp- but the primal strength of earth still seemed to flow within her, allowing her to concentrate once more...

Sapo moves to help the half elf, attempting to trip one of the creatures at the same time as pushing the other off, but finds that both actions are impossible at the same time.

OOC: Move to G16
Attack D1 with Dragon's tail: Fail shamfully

"Quiet down, joker." Torqua said as she flanked the monsters the laughing Drow was attacking. "It's time to show you why I'm called the Mistress of Magical Thunder Thighs!" Torqua took a mighty breath in, causing her massive belly to swell with magic as a glowing symbol grew on it. The symbol then began to wrap itself around Torqua's body like chains of lighting until she glowed like thunder cloud. With a grin on her face, the fat sorceress unleashed the storm from her belly, frying the two monsters with arcane lightning.

OOC:
Move to J17
Attacking D1 and L1 with Lightning Breath.
I get a 20 (not crit) on D1 and a 15 on L1 against their REF
1d20+5=20, 1d20+5=15

I do 22 Lightning damage to D1 and 16 to Lightning damage L1, half if I miss.
3d8+8=22, 3d8+8=16

Also whenever an enemy hits me with a melee attack, I can push that enemy 1 square and they also takes 5 lighting damage. I can use a minor each round to keep this effect.

For area attacks you must roll just one damage die, and apply it to the creatures you successfully hit in said area (you must roll a die for each attacked creature however).

[sblock= OOC Upcoming absence]
Just some advance warning- I will be traveling from early on the 6th until late on the 9th. I expect to have no net access, and will have no notes/materials with me. Please NPC Johanna if necessary- she will try to mark an adjacent target and attack a different target at reach to maximize Guardian form effect. Will use Mountain's thunder special attack if more than 2 enemies are adjacent. [/sblock]

As the magic of the rune of sacrifice takes over, Lhavarr feels the divine energy strenthening his resolve. The half-elf hums a tune that reminds Johanna of a tribal dance, and the warrior woman spins and laughs, in glee her resolve bolstered. The bardent takes the opportunity to step into the flank and swings a glowing blade at the undead creature, but the creature is easily able to step aside.

Save Bryan! Round 3

Elkrysn, noticing that some of the zombies got a bit closer together nearby his injured allies, slips sown the ledge and unleashes not one, but two sprays of liquid arcane fire, cackling maniacally all the while. Unfortunately, his laughter seems to be messing up his aim. The dead aberrants suffer none of it and emerge unscathed. [All misses]

Vimak steps forward. New runes appear around him, life leaves him to enter his most wounded allies and he continues to swing his weapon. His magic restores the flagging duo, but he lithe undead curls away from his weapon with ease. [Attack misses]

[Attack misses; save made]

Sapo moves to help the half elf, attempting to trip one of the creatures at the same time as pushing the other off, but finds that both actions are impossible at the same time. [Miss]

Both are beginning to fray, their undead flesh not holding up as well. [Hit; used first damage roll for both. Both bloodied.]

[So moved. Attack misses, and Lhavarr is still granting CA since he is in the fleshy weeds]

With a gurgling chitter, the smaller undead pounce where the blood is flowing. Once circles around the fat mage and attempts to bite Johanna, but her primal form and Vimak's runes flash protectively and drive it back. A similar story repeats as the other attempts to gnaw Lhavarr's leg. It shifts back from the oncoming frog-woman. [D2 moves to avoid Torqua and attack Johanna; misses. D1 attacks Lhavarr & misses; shifts]

The dead caster continues to assault Johanna's mind, this time reaching into the dark places she thought she had kept hidden. She screams in agony, the mental whispers keeping her distracted. The aberrant in front of her again reaches in, but its clumsy grope is deflected. The tentacle from its compatriot is similarly harmless. [M casts and crits; 15 damage and Johanna still dazed. L1 & L2 attempt attack but fail.]

[sblock=Map]
attachment.php

The lip is difficult terrain going up and down; an Athletics check (DC Down is 13, DC Up is 19) can be made as part of a move action to make this normal movement.

Big rocks give cover; smaller rubble is difficult terrain. Green blobs are the pustules; walking through them is possible but they grant CA when in them (PCs only). Water is not difficult terrain but it costs 1 extra square of movement to enter/leave it. The lighter stone near the boy/rock looks to be somewhat unsteady.

Red glow is the shard; green cross is the boy. Forgot to put dog on map but he is nearby.[/sblock]
