[Adventure] A Chef's Request (DM:renau1g; judge: covaithe)

Bodies don't sink naturally IIRC, that's why Dexter weighs down his victims, well those on the ship likely did, but the Baron and the other priestess wouldn't have. [/sblock]

OOC:
Actually, the human* body isn't naturally buoyant and it sinks once the lungs fill with water, which occurs quickly after death in water. But when cadavers decompose, they become bloated with gas which is why they can eventually float back to the surface if not weighted enough. It takes several days, though.

*but hey, if you are saying sahugin bodies are naturally buoyant, I won't object! ;)

"We are after some drows who has been fishing in this parts and who have been abducted. Does that sounds familiar to you? It's sure at first sight, we could accuse your group, as you have attacked us, but maybe you have some information that could help us to light the situation." asks Leonard to the sahuagin.

"Ahh...dark smoothskin. Yes, that is familiar, we paid good golds to get him and bring him down below." the female replies.

Ghorgor and Fracture "fish" out the floating bodies of the large sahaguin and the dead priestess.

Funny Mal, I just watched Fellowship yesterday and when the human (Ilsildur?) is ambushed at the beginning and loses the Ring his body floats back up with the arrows in his back.

Anyways, in the pouch of the female priestess you find a collection of eggs. They are already beginning to dry out though. The baron has 600 gold pieces on him also [/sblock]

Had to still have air in his lungs.

Body struggles in water -> going down.
Dies -> goes up (if still air in lungs)
air leaves lungs -> goes down
decay gasses swell body -> goes up again

:D ...

"Interesting, who paid you to retrieve the drow? And where is the drow now?" asks Leonard.

[SBLOCK=OOC]I think even with air in his lung, Ilsildur should not have floated... his equipment should have keep him underwater.[/SBLOCK]

OOC: I'm stopping you right there before you start wondering why they didn't just flew the giant eagle all the way to Mordor and drop the ring from the air into Mount Doom...

Meanwhile Ghorgor is counting the money. It'll take a while.

"Dark smoothskin is deep in Depthworld by now. A kuo-toa paid us to get him for them. We, or I, can take you to Depthworld, for a price" the creature replies, eyes glistening avariciously.

You'd all know that Depthworld is the equivalent of the Underdark. [/sblock]
