Magic Items Enduring Spellbook, Clockwork Amulet
I had a very strong party of six Felonious Assault rogue 1 cleric 2 human. Keiko Battle master 3 human. Lily cleric 4 elf. Saffron rogue 3 human. Geff warlock 2 Tabaxi. Hayden Spitfire sorcerer 3 dragonborn.
A flash of light. As the group is trying to get there bearing, a human with a goldish shirt walk in asking for Sam.
AL, “Sam are you in any of these bodies? Gooshie, I have six people in the chamber. One is in a cat furry costume. Another is in a Gorn costume. Another is a Spock knock off. How did Trekkies get in here. One of them is holding a samurai sword to my throat. Give him a nightly night.” Dart flies out the light dropping Keiko.
Multicolored lights flash a fat short balding white hair human steps out them. “Greetings Ranger, Wizard. Barbarian. Oh dear. This is wrong.”
AL, “You are in the top-secret facility called Quantum Leap. Gooshie, any location on Sam. Why are you here.”
Dungeon Master, “Greetings. I was looking for kids on a roller coaster. Any way. Greeting Sam Admiral. Rogue Cleric. Cleric. Battle master. Rogue. Warlock. Sorcerer. You are going to put right that once was put wrong. In the world of the Forgotten Realms.” The group and bald dude disappear.
AL, “Gooshie, did you get a trace?”
Dungeon Master, “Help this person out.”
Myrna, “As I was saying before the light cantrip flashed in my eyes. Powel is going to turn the Nathlum over to the Zhentarim. It is three days to library. It is the only standing structure. I will pay 100 gold each if you return. It has spells and poison recipes.”
Three days later they find goblin tracks leading to library. Felonious sneaks up and listens three are bullshitting, one is asleep, and a worg is with them. The group sneaks up and kicks open the door. Keiko dashes in and finished of the first. With help from the rogues, he takes the second out. The clerics take out the third. And the fourth is drop by carry over damage. The worg is so confused he dies with only getting little nibbles in. Keiko moves on to find some more goblins in the rotunda.
Keiko, “Die Goblin Boss.”
Goblin Boss, “Sorry. Not sorry. Goblin number three switch places with me while I run up the stairs.”
Goblin Three, “You are a sucky boss. Hey guys follow the boss upstairs while the party is killing me. They wouldn’t be able to get to you except by one person.”
Group, “We have bows, spells, and daggers.”
Goblins, “Frack you. We die for your greater XP count.”
A short rest and Keiko is charging in to mess with hobgoblins. Saffron, “Wait up. I want to play too.” As she charges into the room she feels a tap on her shoulder.
Hobgoblin 2, “Nat 20 for 24 damage.”
Hobgoblin 3, “Dirty 20 for 2 death save fails.”
Hobgoblin 4, “Clean 1 for a miss.” Hayden slides into the dying rogue and slaps a Band-Aid on her.
Geff, “Where did the bear come from?”
Lily, “You see when mama bear and daddy bear.” After some looting they move downstairs to the basement level. Keiko opens the door an sees half the floor has collapse into a chasm. A small 70 foot deep one.
Keiko, “Spiders how did have to be spiders. Get the swam of spiders off of me.” A rounds of fire bolts, fire breath, and fire whatever, the group is exhausted and beds down for the night.
We will pick this back up in the lower rotunda 8.
DM Notes. I am going with Quantum Leap and the Dungeon Master from the cartoon to explain why there is no story line. New people feel free to swap out pcs between sessions. I will be running theses in level order and there are a lot of tier 1 stories. If the minimum gp is not there, I will bump it up to it.
If there is a tier difference, the lower tier does max damage. But health stays the same. More of them will be added to come up to strong or stronger parties.
For those with phones, as a back up have the leap sound cued up.
