None have asked Katherine for Light as of yet.
The shape at the Woods' edge seems to have moved on.
Aranel dismounts fairly easily from Sprout's back <if she wants to>, landing in a mud puddle and splattering mud onto Bekkle's cloak. The oldster doesn't seem to notice at all, intent upon the situation.
Remi speaks through the door, trying to calm <what he thinks is> the small child inside. The crying stops suddenly.
Telerin successfully convinces Whitefang to back down, the Wolf returning to his side, though he whines and growls, his eyes still intent upon the Barn.
At hearing Remi's words, Bekkle runs up the stairs and says through the door 'Darlin', it's Uncle Bekkle. Lemme in, sweets. It's cold out here and that fire sure would be nice right about now.'
The tiny and weary voice of a little girl proclaims in exasperation 'I can opeh th door, is too hard...'
Bekkle says 'Stand back Sweets, we're gonna get it open, stand back...'
With Remi's help (Remi needing to do most of the work, since Bron Bekkle isn't exactly,a spring chicken at this point) Bekkle gets the door open enough to slide inside.
Remi and Bekkle succeed on entering after a moment and are greeted by a hear-rending sght. A very small little blond girl stands there, tear-stained and wearing a smock literally covered in blood. She begins crying softly again. The Cottage has been ransacked, with every bit of furniture possible thrown up against the inside of the windows and the one door.
Lying inside the room is a young man, perhaps 20,maybe younger. He isn't moving at this point.
Outside
The rain seems to be lessening slightly, allowing a better look at the ground around the cottage. Huge footprints, perhaps 20" long are everywhere, bare and with an incredibly heavy weight driving them into the mud.
Aranel hears something in the space between the Chicken COop ad the cottage. SOmething is coming fast, running towards the front of the House.
Whitefang begins to growl loudly, snarling and facing whatever is coming.
