(Adventure) A Merry Chase *Judge: Uriel

Persephone

"OK. I'll cover this one, Rinaldo, if you want to check out the carriage." Zoe takes a couple steps away from the guard and keeps her loaded crossbow on him. "See that your friend is OK, but don't try to free him."

At Zoe's words, the girl straightens up and throws her head back with regal bravado. "I may be your prisoner, but hurt me or no, my father will have your heads." She steps trembling to the door of the coach and calls to the remaining guards, "Please, do not oppose these brigands further. You have done all you can for me..." She bites her lip trying to maintain the brave face...

In a sudden flash of insight, Zoe sees
that the fear and uncertainty is just as much a front as the bravodo covering it... Rather than a little girl trying to be adult, the princess seems almost like an adult trying fairly successfuly to be a brave little girl.

The remaining guards surrender with ill grace and allow themselves to be bound (if that is your desire). Those felled by Rinaldo and Seph's crossbow bolts have no wounds or blood, but seem to be unconscious. One of the horses harnessed to the coach appears to have a broken leg, the other three are fine. The coach itself has suffered some damage.

We're off initiative, what would you like to do now?

Rinaldo finish to bound the last man. All were bounded, but one of the uncouncious were bounded loosly so he can try to escape with some patience. They are all inside the coach, so they can't see in which direction we will run away.

"Well, you have done well your jobs as guards and the king will know it, and I hope he will not put too much blame on you. As you see, your friends have no wounds, we are not murderer, only a businessman who take advantage of a situation. Here a letter for your kings. It is an offer for him to bid on the princess, as she will be sold to the better offer, but I can tell you, as long as she is in our hands, she will be treated like a princess, after all, a damage good always worth less.

I wish you a good day."

Rinaldo put a scroll in the coach, the one he had written for the king. He turn now to the princess and speak so the guards can hear.

"My name is Teregorn Felmir, and I am a trader of unusual goods. I've traded many goods that is not permitted by the law to be traded, and you are my last acquisition. I know I can sound rude to tell you are a good, it sound like an object, but don't misundestand me, you will live a good time with us and I hope you will enjoy it, and finally, you will be released to the better offer. Your father will always have a chance to equal the bid, and so, if your father love you, and I don't doubt about it, you will end back at your castle. Enjoy this little adventure as we will.

I think it is time to go."

Rinaldo close the doors of the coach and try to block them as he can if there is an easy way to do it, before leading the group away from this place.

As Zoe and the 'princess' got out and everything seems to be under control, Zoe takes a closer look at her allies and notices the wounds on Rinaldo. Trying to take a calm and cheerfull approach, as not to bring too much thought to the wounds, she tells him: "Seems like you managed to get battered up again. Hang on.", as she draws out the wand she recently attained from her temple.

OOC: Wand of Cure Light Wounds once on each of Rinaldo and myself. Depending on the outcome I might give it a 2nd shot or add Lay on Hands.

7 hp back to rinaldo, only 5 to zoe....

on a side note, the formerly netted coachman is looking with some concern to the wounded horse. He seems unwilling to ask you for any favors, but as he is being tied, he jerks his head over and says "Can't you just shoot the poor thing?"

OOC: They didn't shoot horses until gunpowder became pretty much common. Before that, they used their swords. But besides that...

Zoe unloads another charge at herself as the coachman addresses the horse. "Hmm, we could take the horses and make some distance between ourselves and this guard. Then we could free one of the guards a little away so he could free the others before anything disastrous to them might appear. I do not feel much for leaving innocent men to danger just because we came around. We would refund the horses of course. Either way, I am not going to kill the horse. I can save it without too much troubles." she adds, looking at the coachman.

Persephone

"This coach is nice. Do you think we should take it? Otherwise, there are three horses & three of us, so that might be a good option. I agree we shouldn't leave the guards helpless in case some less-forgiving beings wandered by."

"Well, if we take the horse, they will have hard time to follow us. The uconcious guard there can free himself in less than a minute, when he will wake up, but I didn't though to take the horses, so we can loosen them up a bit, so they can all free themselves easily after we leaves."

"The coach is nice, yes, but it restricts our movement, so I am in favor of only taking the horses. I do not possess the materials to refund all three horses and materials, only two. So unless either one of you can chip in as well, we need to share the horses." Zoe says, while using her wand on the horse.

Rinaldo start to whisper to Zoe:

"I know you don't like stealing, but we are suppose to play some bandits. We should take the horse without paying if we don't want the guard to start to suspect something. I don't know many bandits who pay there victims. And see it like this, it is a loan, we will give the horse back to the kings at the same moment of the princess."
