(Adventure) A Merry Chase *Judge: Uriel

Zoe whispers back: "We were only required to take the princess. Then again, you could be right. Okay, we shall take the princess and the horses, but if her story does not match the story of the messenger, then we shall return the horses at once." After the horse has recovered enough, Zoe starts to detach them from the coach.

"Ok, Zoe, you'll carry the princess with you."

Rinaldo move to the coach and open the door.

"You! Get up."

Rinaldo help the guard to stand up. He is not very polite nor very brute in his help. When the guard is standing outside the coach, Rinaldo draw his dagger.

"Any funny move and I'll make you sleep."

He turn around the guard, his face in front of the coach and wait for Zoe and Persephone to be on there horses. When they are both on there mount, Rinaldo cut the rope which tie the guard hands.

"You don't move and count up to one hundread. After that, you can untie your friends and do what you want, but I suggest to deliver directly the message to the King. If you try to follow us, I can't promise about your health."

Rinaldo move to his horse and mount it.

"Tell to the King I salute him, I wish him good health, and I will take great care of the princess as my own dauther."

The horses lack traditional saddles, but do have stirups and bridles as part of the harnesses, presumedly for this sort of situation with the "right" riders. you cannot go as fast as you would want without rinaldo and persephone having a chance of falling off, but you are able to leave the elves well behind...

The princess sits silent and angry in zoe's arms (I presume she's riding with her as only the paladin has ride ranks) until the horses slow and then says "Am I at least to know the names of my abductors?"

With a sad face: "It is always the same, you do a good speech and they can even remember half of it... I named myself just a moment ago and she can't remember. Now, if a princess can't remember my name, how the guard could remember!"

OOC: Need to roll a Sense Motive against my Bluff to see I'm ironic! :D

Persephone

"Listen little sister, I'm a princess, too. My name is Persephone. We are going to take good care of you. You won't get hurt. Just stay with us until we can return you to your family. "

Zoe places the princess on the ground before dismounting herself. "I am Zoe Clearwater, a paladin in the service of Hyrag. We are on a mission that should increase the safety of the princess of this county. We were ordered to kidnap a decoy princess while the real princess would safely stay hidden away. With no one else knowing it is the fake princess we abducted, we would draw attention away from the real princess. Now if this is correct, then you would be the fake princess and would know about the mission as well, so I would like to ask you to either confirm or deny it. If we are in error, I will do anything within my power to set things straight."

the 'princess' looks for a moment as though she has swollowed her tongue and hisses, in a very adult voice, "Shout it why don't you! Hello, heard of scrying?!?!"
After a moment of red faced contortions, she brings herself under control with obvious effort and closes her eyes for a moment. Opening them, she again speaks in the tone of childish bravery. "Fine, we understand each other. But understand this - once the guards who had accompanied me reach the nearest outpost, these hills will swarm with my father's men. And my father has magic at his disposal as well as might - you had better move fast, or just stay here and surrender..."

Persephone

Persephone smiles at the young faux princess. "Yes, we're in business! We're heading out of here, little princess, as fast as we can. We'll probably have to stick to the road for awhile to get away from these rocks and cliffs, but then I say we head out into the hinterland and find a cave or somewhere to pitch camp."

"Scrying, well, I didn't tough of that. That will make harder to remain in one hidden spot, except if we can find some way to hide from the scrying. Persephone, do you know any way to to this?"
