(Adventure) A Merry Chase *Judge: Uriel

"Persephone is right, we will need all the help we can, but I doubt they will have something that could be that usefull, or they would have used it against use, or to help their retreat. We will let them go."

Rinaldo look at the last Half-Orc and tell in Orcish, with an angry voice.
"You have ten seconds to flee, friend. 1... 2... 3..."
<

While speaking, Rinaldo mount back on his horse and is ready to go with the others.

"I am serious here. Yes, we could use all the help we can get. But that does not mean we should take that help at the expense of some poor lads. I ask you to leave his stuff alone, please." Zoe says while holding the princess close to her chest, not looking very happy at the situation at all.

The half orc seems tempted to bargin further, but when Rinaldo begins counting he turns tail and runs. The group continues unmolested further and by evening you have emerged from the steep hills into an area of rolling land that apears mostly used for goat and sheep grazing. You can see a few small buildings, some lit and some not, and back towards the main road, a blaze of light from a large building.

The horses seem tired from all the up and down, and those of you without ride skills are feeling some definite discomfort in the posterior region....

"Let us see if we can find something of value in that village, food, saddles, a bath, though we should probably find a different place to sleep." Zoe starts, while she takes a look at the larger building, trying to understand what kind of building it would be.

As the group ride, Rinaldo speak to Zoe "I understand that you don't like stealing, and normally, I wouldn't even think of it, but in the situation we are now, we may be forced to do things worst than simply stealing a piece of bread. I hope it will not happen, and we will try to not meet such situation, but the live of outlaw is not an easy one. And finally, even if Persephone and I have such thought lately, we havn't done it... well, except for the horse, but it was really needed, so we can move faster and slow down our opponents. Don't forget too, we may be able to only stun all those opponent with those rings, but our opponents may not be as gentle.

My horse seems tired. We should take some rest, or I will not ever be able to sit again for the remaining of my life."

Zoe sighs. "I agree that the horses were usefull, yet I still intend to return them once this all is done for. Those halforcs did likely not possess anything that would make a big matter to us, so no use in taking anything from them. If the need arises that we will be forced to, uhm, borrow stuff again, then I will try to compensate that to the best of my power. Really, we should not think upon ourselves as more important than others."

"True, but at the same time, all what humans do, it is for himself, even you, who prefer to follow a code of honor because you feel better to act like that... No more of these philosophy, I really need to a nice place to sit."

Rinaldo start to looks if there wouldn`t be somewhere near where his horse could rest drink and eat.

Persephone

OOC: Persephone would not have been persuaded not to search the sleeping half-orc's body. She views a beaten theif's possetions to be available to the her. If it wouldn't break the story's continuity, what would she find on the sleeping orc?

"Zoe, those orcy men were theives, robbers, their possetions probably not legally acquired. I feel no shame robbing the robbers. As for staying here, if those orcy men knew of the princess' dissapearence already, as they seem to have, then I think we should camp in the woods, & avoid this civilization."

OOC: If you tried to search him thuroughly (ie, rolling him over to get at his belt pouch) that would likely wake him, something I'm not willing to retcon. (and that I imagine 'seph would avoid)
His sword lies beside his sleeping form, it is a nice looking longsword, and you can pluck a dagger from his belt without much trouble. You are suprized to realize that he is fairly well groomed, and his clothes, though patched and worn are kept clean and neat.

At Persephone's words, the princess looks almost about to speak, but thinks better of it. Pointing to the light towards the road, she instead comments "We stayed at that inn on our way past... The owner is a very respectful man."

Rinaldo smiles when it see the Inn. "Well, after a hard day, nothing better than a good warm meal and a hot fire. But this time I will add a pillow to sit on it."
