Joy stepped sideways and spun her curved sword in a complicated pattern. The strange 'music' still filled the air around her, and she sang a single word in a voice which seemed far to deep for her body to have produced. Between her song and her gesture, she seemed invigorated, and the Impaler was driven into a fury.

Brenwar sighs as he takes a few clanking steps back, and he can be heard whispering a prayer. He then makes a running leap, which is very impressive for a man wearing plate and hefting around such a large shield. He lands with a huge clatter, but manages to stay on his feet. He charges the two devils with his hammer raised and challenges the larger hellish creature with his divine challenge.

Move Action: Move to I10 for a running start then leap. Athletics Check (1d20+0=16)
A 16 let's me clear 3 squares with a running start so I'll land in E13 (I guess?)
Standard Action:->Move Action to C12
Minor Action: Divine Challenge Impaler #2
(I think I can move to C12 without provoking from the mud creature since it isn't a hard corner. If I'm wrong I don't mind provoking the attack of opp.)
(Also, if I messed up any of these movements rules in regards to jumping just retcon me to get close to the impaler as possible, provoking if necessary)

Even besieged on all sides by the treacherous room you concentrate your efforts on the devils. Spells and deadly insults hit their mark, followed by the brave Brenwar, who despite his massive armor almost flies over the newly created pit al gallantly closes on the foul creature while challenging it to honorable combat.

Lacking chivalry, the devil just shoves him down the hole.

GM: In the interest of fairness, if you’re trying now to make sense of the floor moving up and down, ignore the first round with the black lines. That was a mistake for my part, based on obsolete notes

Porphyria casts Mist of Disarray on both impaler and mud lasher, but can’t push the impaler it since it’s at the map’s edge already. You can see there’s magic at work, but can’t discern if there’s a way to stop it.
Halleck successfully mocks the remaining mud lasher.
DM realizes he mistyped “cute” instead of “cut” in an earlier post, creating a very confusing sentence.
Joy successfully uses Misdirected Mark on Impaler 2.
Brenwar manages to jump over the newly created pit and closes up to the Impaler (you could have charged too) and Challenges him.
Mud lasher: Uses Aid another, hits easily despite penalties.
Impaler 2: Bull rushes Brenwar. With the help from the Lasher, he hits Fort 20, so down the pit he goes. He takes only 2 damage, but he’s prone. The devil then moves.
The other impaler has a clear line of sight against Porphyria, so he shoots. Hits AC 29 for 11 damage, bloodying her, then moves away
More blocks shoot upwards, others come down. It doesn’t look like it’s going to stop.

OOC: My bad, Brenwar was pushed into hindering terrain and therefore has a save. If he passes it he's still prone, but at C12 instead and suffers no damage

Notice that you can't walk between the blocks that have appeared now, so Joy is trapped between the wall and the pit

With a heroic effort, Brenwar barely manages to stop his plummet into the pit. Instead, he falls on its edge barely keeping hold of his hammer.
OOC:
Save vs. Hindering Terrain (Pit) (1d20=7)+4 from Heroic Effort = 11

The silver-masked girl, bleeding from several wounds now, darts behind one of the pillars of stone where the floor has erupted. She fires another swirl of magic at the impaler standing over Brenwar, but the demon shrugs off the magic without apparent effect.

[sblock=actions]Move: to G13, hoping for cover.
Standard: chaos bolt vs. Impaler 2: 16 vs. will misses.

If there's healing to spare, P could use some. If we're running low, she can wait. I think she's not in danger from impaler 1 right now with the floor being in the way, and she has cover from impaler 2 (and he's marked anyway).

OOC: Brenwar has finished his turn; he took two move actions, and is currently at C12, not D12. I though the difference was small enough that a new map wasn't needed.

The impaler actions may need retconning too, I realized since he provoked from Brenwar. He may take the attack, with the prone penalty
