Although Jax is a quick little kobold, the distance to Cur Exsixten just seems insurmountable. So rather than close in for another attack, Jax decides to call on the power of his new armor. A strong gust of wind suddenly blows past Quagmire and almost knocks him down. When he recovers, he can't help but notice that the kobold to his left has vanished without a trace.

Cur Exsixten then hears Jax whispering, though he can't make out where the voice is coming from. "You're not awesome at all. Werewolves aren't awesome!" In fact werewolves are awesome, as Cur Exsixten knows very well.

[sblock=Jax actions / stats]Standard: Feytouched armor power, activate! Jax becomes invisible TENT.

[sblock=Move: Don't look, Iron Sky!]Move: Jax walks to H18 and makes a stealth check of 26, which is enough to beat Cur Exsixten's passive perception. I added the -5 penalty for talking for the Bluff check below.[/sblock]

(Dorn is actually at G16 after last turn FYI - unlikely to matter right now)

Dorn continues his arcane assault on the were-forged, burning him with a ball of sticky acid (Acid Orb hits for 26 acid damage).

"Woe, woe is us! We're no match for this horrible beast! Help us, Exsixten! You're our only hope!" Given how the battle is going, Dorn sounds less than convincing (Bluff fails)

After firing another "warning shot," Andras snaps his fingers in recognition. "Right! Lords of Awesome! Listen Sir Knight, your behavior is hardly appropriate. All this sneaking around, pretending to be one thing when you're actually another, trying to murder your friends rather than rescuing damsels. This is not chivalrous. This is not how a knight acts. You don't just dishonor yourself; you dishonor your Lords. I am embarrassed to be associated with you." Andras pauses, then clarifies, "More so than usual."

Seeing Jax go in, Quagmire mutters to himself, "Hoo boy, here we go." He advances cautiously, still on the defensive, while calling out. "Better snap out of it soon, mate. If ye can't pull yerself t'gether, we'll have t'pound some sense into ye. Percussive maintenance, yo." His defensive stance belies his words, though, undermining the threat.

GM: [MENTION=82251]TwoHeadsBarking[/MENTION] Was Andras going to use a shift ability this round? You mentioned it before (I don't want to update until I am sure everyone is ready) :)

OOC: If I understood correctly, the plan is for Q and Jax to move in on our turns and burst, then have Andras shift us away afterwards on his turn, so that we don't start our following turns adjacent to CurX. That about right, guys?

Exactly. Unfortunately, since Quagmire is marked, he can't shift away without being punished. Hmm, is Cur marking on misses, like a normal fighter would? If not, I'll use Insightful Warning to make that attack miss.

OOC: I was assuming he marked on a miss too. I don't think we can easily avoid the MBA for shifting while marked, but it's better than taking automatic damage from starting next to him, plus another attack on his turn, which would mark, leaving us stuck there for the same thing next turn.

GM: Map updated. Jax is not on it since he is invisible.

No changes in Cur ExSixTen's stats because of skill checks this turn, but the success will be carried over to future rounds (Brenn did not make a check by the way).

I admit I am totally confused with the Andras plan, so I do not know if the next round has started, or if you are going to add in a AP. ;) So I guess go ahead and post the next round's actions, but if you need to do something last round go ahead and post that as well (that will happen before Cur ExSixTen acted last round.

[sblock=Skill Challenge, Bring back Sir ExSixTen!]
Sucesses so far: -3 to defenses.

Using the same skill 2 more rounds in a row brings about a cumulative -2 to the check.

Somewhere deep inside the Warforge's memory core is the real Sir ExSixTen. He may look like a murderous canine now, but the awesome fighter of destruction is somewhere inside.

Once per turn as a minor action you can make a skill check DC 23 (any skill you can justify), each success brings SirExSixTen's real self closer to the surface, bringing about various combat benefits.[/sblock]

Brenn fired another arrow at the wereforged, and again the arrow exploded into splinters around the creature's feet. "Snap out of it- that kind of infection shouldn't work on someone made of metal like you- I mean Awesome metal." Brenn's shout wasn't particularly compelling- but he had never heard of a natural disease working on a warforged (though HE knew that this wasn't anything like a NATURAL disease...

GM: Sorry, looks like I messed up the defense stats, they should be:

AC: 29+1, Fort:27, Reflex:22, Will:22

That includes the -3 from the skill checks.

I checked and the mistake did not affect any rolls last round.

Quagmire continues to circle close, angling his body in such a way as to expose the warforged's back to his allies. He readies himself to create a distraction, knowing Jax must be near.

Andras carefully lines up a shot, taking advantage of the opening granted by Quagmire. The arrow tears through Cur Exsixten's armored plating, revealing more vulnerable components. Andras whoops in triumph, "Haha, yes! Did you see that?" The genasi starts flexing, clearly quite pleased with himself. "Yeah, suck it dogbreath!"
