As usual, Brenn settled into a steady pattern. He drew an arrow, took quick aim, and fired aiming for WereAkriel's head- the shot struck her in the shoulder instead, spinning her to the floor. "I'm getting kind of tired of fighting old Steelpants..."

Jax initially has trouble evading the wolves, but their mistress getting knocked to the ground is enough of a distraction for the kobold to slip by them. He dashes between the canines and backs himself into a corner, ready to make a last stand!

He steps up to the fallen werewolf and begins his dance-like pattern of attacks. He first slams Wereakriel on the snout, knocking her out like a pup by the fireplace. Now that she's helpless, Jax continues with a series of three more blows, all centered on the gushing wound made by Andras's broadhead arrow: first a deep thrust to the chest; then a wide slash with his parrying dagger that, somehow, only hits air; and finally another dagger thrust into the same arrow-wound.

When Jax retreats back to his corner a few seconds later, Wereakriel appears to be still.

[sblock=Jax actions / stats]Note that I forgot all about the Cur Exsixten's mark, but a -2 to attacks wouldn't have caused any of these rolls to miss. He also can't stop Jax from shifting because dominated stops him from taking OAs and immediate actions.

Standard: Knockout vs Other Akriel hits Fortitude 38 for 58 cold damage, she's knocked unconscious (save ends or takes damage), and she gains vulnerability 5 to cold damage TENT Jax. (1d20+22=38, 2d4+13+2+2+5+5=35, 3d8+4=23))

AP-Standard: Coup de Grace with Piercing Strike crits (wasting CDG even!) for 72 cold damage. The second sneak attack this turn is from the Slaying Action feat. (1d20+22=42, [1d4+13+2+2+5+5+3d8+4]=59; crit: 3d6=13)

Free: Two Weapon Opening MBA misses AC 21. The CDG woke her up or else she'd have a -5 to defenses from helpless. (1d20+19=21)

Minor: Critical Opportunity hits AC 28 for 32 cold damage. (1d20+22=28, 3d4+13+2+2+5+5=32)

Free: Frost Dagger to add on another 15 cold damage. Oops, she's already dead. I rolled it, but I can't use it, heh. Well, I'll use it if she survived somehow.

End of turn: Saving throw vs -1 to AC fails. (1d20=7)

Summary: 162 damage. That should kill her, but if not, her vulnerability to cold also refreshes for a turn.

OOC: ♥ Jax. Little note though, Sneak Attack damage is also maximized on a crit so you did 5 more damage - as if you needed it.
 


Seeing Jax's strength ebb, Andras shouts some encouragement., "Ha! Great job, Jax! Don't let up now." Then he turns to Exsixten, "Come now, sir knight. This is hardly chivalrous behavior!" With a start, the warforged returns to his normal typical behavior.

The wolfs seemed enraged by their mistress's death, one charges at Brenn ignoring the attacks by Jax and Quagmire as it clamps down its teeth unto the elf. Another tries to knock down Jax, but the Kobold easily leaps aside.
