Brenn did not tick around to play with the wolf. As soon as the beast set its feet, Brenn dodged away.

OOC: Immediate Reaction, when Wolf 1 ends its turn adjacent to Brenn- use Reactive shift to shift 4, to H 16

Encouraged, Quagmire takes another theatrical swipe at the Doctor, and again Jax's blades flash with a wet sound, and this time the doctor falls. Quagmire grins, and moves towards the nearest wolf.

[sblock=actions]Okay, okay.
Standard: commander's strike, Jax gets an MBA with some bonuses: hits AC 33 for 44 dmg, which kills the doctor I believe.
Move: to K14, to help with flanking
Minor: nothing, I think

Andras releases another arrow as he moves across the room. This one tears into one of the wolves, hindering its ability to defend itself.

Standard: Paint the Bulls-eye vs Winter Wolf 1. Hits AC 34 for 8 damage. Until the start of my next turn, my allies gain a +5 power bonus to damage rolls against it.[/sblock]

Either Jax is getting really lucky, or the doctor is just terrible at combat. With all the openings in his defense, Jax suspects it's the latter.

Once Domiani falls, the kobold moves to flank the closest wolf with Quagmire. Like with the Akriel-Werewolf, Jax is able to focus his attacks on the wound caused by Andras's arrow. The results are vicious.

[sblock=Jax actions / stats]Move: Walk to K16.

Free: turn off the cold dagger.

Minor: Low Slash vs Winter Wolf 1 hits Reflex 35 for 36 damage. (1d20+22=35;1d4+13+2+4+5=25;3d8+3=10) That should be 3d8+4, so I upped the damage by 1.

Luckily Brenn had stepped back far enough to avoid being spattered by wolf chunks as Jax and Sir Exsixten savaged one of the beasts. With an almost casual shot, he finished the creature off. Then he moved over to the top of the stairs.

Death to a Domain Lord... [FONT=&quot]Dominiani[/FONT] gasps as Jax's dagger stabs into his heart and his body dissolves into dust.

The party then makes quick work of the second wolf. Dorn tries to hit the first with an orb of acid, but it pings off a nearby chair.

The remaining wolf turns and charges Brenn, finally managing to bite down on one of the foes who harmed its mistress.

The other Akriel casually moves over and sits down on a nearby chair, waiting for the party to finish the last foe.
