[Adventure]: Bosch's Revenge (DM: Dimsdale, Judge ??)

Nementah stands at the well, her wooden arms working tirelessly to feed water to fire line. Even Xerzuzu helps, steadying receiving buckets so everything goes faster.

Their presence, strange as it is, further calms the people. If strangers and fey beings can be calm and help save their city, so can they.

Rocco runs quickly through the streets, careful not to loose himself too far from the party. He enters burning dwellings, ushering frightened people out, forcing them out if need be, pulling them through the flames or climbing and jumping from the windows with clinging people on his back.

Success for Nementah!

As the bucket brigade forms a line, Sigarr jumps into the line, hauling bucket after bucket to assist the average citizens. Unfortunately, the tremendous heat from the inferno is overpowering to one who is used to the frozen wastelands of his home and Sigarr quickly begins to tire.

OOC:
BTW, it was Labour Day here in Canada too :)

enduranxce (1d20+13=17) doh!

Quan runs to the end of the water line, grabbing the buckets as they came down the line and dashing about putting water on the fires. Recognizing that placement was as much (or more) important than volume, he started looking for places that would be the most effective, and also for other places where the fires were beginning. Putting his hunting eyes for good use, he likely helped snuff some fires before they got burning larger.

Perception 31.

Skill challenge is successful!

The fires that once ravaged the town are now contained. The crowd begins to dissipate as everyone now knows that the dragon was but an illusion. Healers come forth to assist with the rest of the walking wounded. Sadly, 34 citizens lost their lives from this event.

Standing in front of the party is brother Navio. There exists a ring of strange power that creates an illusion such as this one. The good news is that it wasn't real. The bad news is that we now know that the dragon is within a days reach of the city. I believe that one who possesses such a ring was recently in the tavern. His white dragon wanted to eat me. I could sense it. But that is for another time. We have more important things to worry about. If the dragon is within a days reach of us, then it has passed through the portal. There is no telling what other beasts or underlings he has brought with him. We have a plan in action to blow up the portal. Unfortunately, we didn't get their in time. Hopefully we can get there before the rest of his army has passed through. One can only hope. The cleric pauses for a second, then continues. We have very little time. Get any last minute provisions that you need and head down the road that you took to get to the portal. Good luck. The cleric bids the party farewell, then hurries to talk to the local militia to set up defenses in case the dragon attacks. It is clear that he is not convinced that even with the shield that the dragon can be defeated.

ooc: Get you last minute stuff and put the finishing touches to update your CS if need be. It's time to meet the dragon. :) Make a post that you have reached the outskirts of the city where the road takes you to the portal. You will move out when everyone made such post (with updated statblock in the post).

"Hail and well met, we haven't the chance to speak. I am Sigarr, son of Sigdan. You have all proven your worth in saving these ... lessers from being killed by their own foolishness. I wish to join you and perhaps we shall come across the answer to my own quest in our travels." the half-giant states, as the group deals with the aftermath.

********* Later ********

After the group gathers any last minute belongings, Sigarr will await them at the appointed meeting place and travel with them.

The barbarian has traveled many miles and long distances, he is ready to embark once more on the road, hopefully the one that leads to his peoples salvation...

Quan greets the new hulking half giant in his usual verbose manner.

"Greetings."

Then as an after thought, comments. "If the dragon eats us, I kind of hope you're first. It might slow it down for a second."

It's not quite clear if the ranger is joking.
