[sblock=OOC]A legend would be useful. C on black squares means Cover?[/sblock]

Brenron raises his staff, slams it to the ground and a wave of radiant light pushes the kobold back. He then hops off the stage and jpins his ally.

[sblock=Actions]
vs For (1d20+9=28, 1d6+8=13) surely a hit

Push the target off the stage : I am assuming that the fall is less than 10 feet and causes no damage (otherwise he would get a save and fall prone on a success).

If the targets moves closer to Brenron on his turn, he gets and extra 3 points of damage.

Move to J13 to get some cover of my own.

Tamarand shakes his head from the shadows, thinking "Well, we've stirred up the hornets nest, this can't be good" as he prepares for a moment and then levels his daggers, bursting from the cover of darkness and unleashing icy death on the kobolds threatening his allies. His blasts contain a cold that chills to the bone those who dare oppose him. The icy javelins strike true.

The first strikes the heavily armored reptilian in the shield, jerking it's shoulder awkwardly. The second flies over Shava, narrowly missing the edge of the table, slicing the kobolds forearm from wrist to elbow before tinkling to the ground. The third flies away from Tamarand, towards the kobold that is distracting Brenron. This one pierces straight through the kobold's thigh. When all the javelins have struck true, they explode in a shower of ice shards that lodge themselves in the kobolds, chilling them to the bone.

The drow runs forward, jumps off the stage to get closer to the kobolds, then focuses his formidable powers in an effort to blow their minds. With a roar, a psychic wave blasts into the kobolds, sending them reeling to get away from the terror that is Tamarand. The dancer stumbles and falls, unable to take the psychic onslaught of the drow. The other kobolds stumble away fearfully, their minds broken and reeling. He then calls on his innate gifts and encircles himself with a protective sphere of darkness.

[sblock=Mal]What power are you using? I assume astral wind.[/sblock]

Brenron raises his staff, slams it to the ground the kobold clutches at it's eyes and stumbles back, off the stage. The dwarf then hops off the stage and joins his allies.

Rohna looks around seeing that the kobolds seem very angry that she standing behind their pretty curtain. Her armor flows back over her body as she draws her hammer and shield. Between the kobold dancer and the door at the back of the club, Mitra fades into existence again and rears up onto her back legs to tower over the little thief. The bear's lips peel back to show her massive yellow teeth. "Everyone get through that door so I can hold em back!"

To be fair, I did use a daily (including a crit) an AP, and an encounter, rolling well on most of them. Tamarand's damage potential is quite high on multiple foes, which is why I used the daily now. Against a single foe he's much less effective, really just Acid Orb is a single target spell.

The dancer stumbles and falls, unable to take the psychic onslaught of the drow. The other kobolds stumble away fearfully, their minds broken and reeling. He then calls on his innate gifts and encircles himself with a protective sphere of darkness.

Shava, instinctively ducks down as she hears the ice javelin come streaming by her. Missile combat was very common on the open air. She takes the onslaught in quickly planning her next move. That Drow might just be showing me up. Apparently I need that dagger more than I thought. . . but what is it exactly? No matter, he may be useful but I still need to show my stuff. She turns her head slightly and offers the drow a light smile before rushing forward, she reaches down, scoops up her dagger and doubles back towards the far wall, starring into the room where she knew the wizard hid. I see you.

"What?!"
She considered briefly following the order anyway, to not upset the command structure. She dismissed the thought. I'm not about to squeeze into a small room with the guy who throws acid, especially since it will open me up to attacks on at least two sides. Shava peered over but just couldn't see a way to get in without being immedaitely attacked. "Perhaps it may be best to keep them in." She said, mainly to herself.

Another flash of light crossed her eyes, as she held out her dagger and focused on the room. The winds suddenly pick near the entrance to the room, slamming items and furniture this way and that. They reach out with an unnatural hunger, tearing into the wizards flesh and dragging him towards the bear.

[sblock=ooc]Wow, lots of impressive powers! Really scrambling the battlefield, it's a little hard to keep up!

So am I correct that the soldier still inside the room has not yet been damaged? Roswyn is in a position to hit him, but not particularly effectively. It seems like there's not much reason to try to pull the kobolds back into the room with hypnotic pattern - it would affect them at the start of their turns, so they won't take damage from the tempest zone even if the pattern draws them back.

I will probably just try to clean up some of the minions unless anyone wants other kobolds pulled into a clump with hypnotic pattern... [/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]It is my hope that the kobold in question, who I also believe is undamaged, leaves the room next round, to avoid the swirling vortex of death.

I'm not sure drawing them back in the room is useful either. I was trying to bring people together so they're easier to hit with AoEs. But heck, minion killing is always useful.[/sblock]

Round 2 action

OOC: posting before Tondrek (and Rohna? is she still up?) 'cause it's now or never (tomorrow)... I doubt it will make a difference.

Roswyn gapes briefly at the hole blown in the wall. She prepares to launch a spell at the exotically garbed kobold thus exposed, but before she can, screams and thunder sound from the main room, distracting her attention. She looks back towards the hole just in time to see the apparent kobold leader blown sidewise in a whirling gust of wind and shattered furniture, while his bodyguard used his shield to protect itself from the raging air."Shava! So glad you could join us," she mutters to herself with grim amusement. "Maybe I can help keep those scum trapped in your lovely little storm..."

The gnome orients her new orb towards the hole in the wall. Kaleidescopic energy surges out, streaking into the back room and coalescing into a semi-translucent, rainbow-colored image of a nude kobold dancer. The dancer writhes and grinds enticingly, powerfully pulling the attention of the nearby gangsters...

[sblock=Actions]Move: Shift to Q8
Standard: Hypnotic Pattern @G7. (I guess in this case I should reroll attacks? or if not, the rolls from my original Scorching Burst are here, but I'm not sure how to figure out which attack targets which kobold... I'll go ahead and reroll attacks too.)
Hypnotic Pattern vs. K, W (1d20+9=22, 1d20+9=23) - targets Will; takes place at start of kobold turn; Hit: the target is pulled 3 squares toward the pattern and is slowed until the end of Roswyn's next turn. It can move into the pattern's square.
Reaction: if hit by an attack Roswyn will use Fade Away.[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]After 4 hrs sleep and a 16 hour shift, I'll update tomorrow morning. In SG doesn't post by then, I'll update and have him delay until right before the kobolds. IC is down now, but I'd like the damage rolls for the table, once it's back up. Since you can't normally walk into a space occupied by an enemy, you can't slide the kobolds through the spirit companion. In determining the squares you do slide it to, don't forget you need line of effect to those squares. Don't forget to update Shava's hp in her statblock. :D[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]Darn I was afraid of that. Well there goes a really neat turn.

So I can't slide through the bear, no diagonal movement around a corner in 4th edition, and I need line of effect. Now I'm almost positive the bear does not block line of effect. I was a little pressed for time when I made the post and was unable to reference my books so thanks for pointing that out.

Since we seem to be waiting anyway, I'll crack them open and see what I can to salvage that round.[/sblock]

Roswyn, be sure to read the below.
[Sblock=ooc] So I think, I can switch my move F11, and place Howling Tempest on H8 Instead. This will target the second K as well.

The problem is, I can't move the targets into or out of the room because of where the bear is positioned. I don't think its a good idea to push them out of the room and backstage, since Roswyn is closer to Rohna and the kobolds go first.

I don't have to slide them at all of course, which seems the thing to do.

I'm open to suggestions.

Roswyn, this is probably going to change you're actions as well I assume. Is there somewhere you'd like them to be? This might be a good time to stack Hypnotic Burst with Howling Tempest, but maybe thats over kill.

I suppose of you wanted to slow them, and thought they might flee the winds toward you, you could mage hand a table into the hole. Maybe I'm pressing my luck with the DM though. ~wink~

Tamarand, if I hit the K outside the room I can slide him into you're sphere of darkness. Which just sounds hillarious to me, but he's gonna act before you. If you say no, before I pressure myself into making up my mind, I won't do it.

This also means I won't be burning my action point to use Thundering Gust.[/sblock]
