ooc: I use the smaller type to indicate when my character is whispering or talking to himself. In this case, I'm whispering to Silvercat.

Dropping the bow and drawing two daggers, Silvercat whispers to Deviln ' They come..., while moving forwards towards where Shariff waits, blades poised for the cast...

Immediately after the encantation, the footsteps hasten as they approach the corner where Shariff now waits. Expecting something to come around, everyone is caught off guard when the footsteps pass the corner and continue down the hall. A few seconds later, the footsteps stop sounding, and there is a lengthy pause...

And then the voice, now coming from just a few steps in front of Shariff shouts some formal drow curse about cave fleas during mating season:
