Adventure: Food of the Gods (DM: ryryguy, Judge: renau1g)

[sblock=ooc]Jynxx, it's not too hard to get close enough to use healing word on Chaku if that's what you want, the main question is whether to use it on Chaku or Kaeysari (who is already down).

BenBrown, Papolstaanas does now have a close burst power available, the attack that goes with Form of the Winter's Herald. This does half damage even on a miss so it's guaranteed to kill at least the one swarm and will immobilize the other (though it can't do enough damage to kill it). So while it's certainly true he'd prefer to have that one swarm taken out first, even if not his position will be much improved after that attack.

I'll PM Charm though to make sure she knows that you're asking her to use her AP.

Also I will go ahead and tell you now, I'm going to say that Papol's Form of the Winter Herald attack clears away the poison gas, since it's a whirlwind. That should help a lot too![/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]I think Cillani needs to use that AP to try and clear out that weak swarm, it will save Papol 7 damage if it dies before he goes, which is big. If she doesn't AP, I think Jynxx should use his instead, and mock at the 3 hp snake swarm and double move, provoking an OA if needed to kill that bloodied swarm -> majestic word on me or kaey. That will put him in place to move/heal check the other. Either way, I really think getting rid of that weak swarm before papol goes is necessary, an auto 7 damage is just too much to let through when we have a chance to stop it.[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc (OnlytheStrong)]Here's an updated map, maybe that will help Jynxx figure out how he can move. Again, he can make it to P7 with one move risking no opportunity attacks. From there he do Majestic Word on Kaeysari (under Azryah's token in K12) or continue to move north to get into range for Chaku

(Maybe it's confusing you, I indicated the two-square zone around Poplstaanas, but that doesn't affect allies. You only have to worry about the green smoke and the swarms.)

OnlytheStrong, I also recommend you consider Mezegis' thoughts in the previous post. [/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]Just for reference, you have Az in the wrong square. She shifted to J12, not K12. That's how Chaku got flanking on the wereserpent.[/sblock]

OOC: I guess I'll take the lumps rather than keep waiting :erm:

Papolstaanas gets to his feet, half buoyed by the wind that is gusting around him, a whirling cloud of twigs and leaves and miscellaneous particles all rapidly becoming rimed with frost. He waves his dinky little sword at the snakes. "Now," he whispers desperately. "Now!"

There is a sudden explosion of ice that leaves the writhing masses of snakes frozen completely solid. Papolstaanas stares wide-eyed, not having expected anything quite that impressive, and stumbles away from them again, the wind clearing a path through the layers of frost in front of him and piling it up again behind.

[sblock=actions]Start: P takes 10 aura damage and 5 poison damage. HP down to 7.

Move: P stands up, pulls his cartoonishly squashed snout back out into its original shape, etc.

Free: mark swarms again.

Standard: Form of Winter's Herald attack. Rolling only against Q (as X will die, hit or miss), attack then damage: 1d20+8=14 1d6+3=6. Barely hits with CA, 16 cold damage with the vulnerability. Q is immobilized (save ends).

Minor: shifty--shift to N9 (if poison gas is cleared).

End: save vs poison: 1d20=20 succeeds.[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc] Sorry guys, trying to get here as fast as I can. Between 3 young kids (eldest is 4) and getting used to the game I'm moving incredibly slow. I willingly use an action point to help.[/sblock]

Cillani stared in wonder as her lightning missed it's mark. "I don't EVEN think so, let's try this again shall we. DIE!" The lightning flew from her fingertips with a vengeance and struck.

Vanguard lightning Vs Swarm Q-1d20+4=19 ;Vs Swarm X-1d20+4=14;Damage-1d6+4=9 [/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]Man, Cillani's second attack missed the 3 hp swarm by 1. :(

On the bright side, she did hit the other one, between that and Papolstaanas' hit on it, it is now gone. (It wasn't going to shift in reaction to any place that would make a difference to Papolstaanas' action.)

Also yes, the Form of Winter's Herald attack clears away the poison gas.

Still could use a clarification on Jynxx's move, but I'll update later tonight and just go with his stated intention.[/sblock]

OOC: Oh well, I takes my lumps and I likes 'em, yes I does, 'cause that's what being a defender is all about, aint it, Kaeysari? KAEYSARI?
