"Our journy is far, so more rations, water, perhaps a cart to carry some of this stuff, rope, perhaps some tents or canopies, probably some extra arrows, and probably some other mundane items I can't think of at the moment."
Tandi says nothing as the banter between the fishy lord and her companions continues. She smiles, failing to hide it, when Thurgan wakes the girl. She knows that given the chance, she would have done far worse. An image of cold water in a bucket came to mind. This is all too convenient. Yeah, I know. So what do we do about it? Not a godsdamned thing. We eat, get stuff, get horses and go on our merry way. We have more important things to worry about. The girl Alex came to her mind.
Anton nods resignedly, letting the carriage go without further disturbance. Though, he does not hesitate to get everyone on their ways. "Are we ready to go?" Making sure everyone is around, he starts walking.
"Well, she don't seem in much danger at the moment, and at least won't off 'erself for now. Let's get what we can from the Lord and just be movin on. Besides, weren't there mentionin' of things in caves 'sides the dragon?"
"Aye, the grimlocks," the messenger who has finally caught up to the group adds in, "They've lived in those mountains for a long time, probably even longer than the dragon. I think the dragon liked to eat the female grimlocks when he was too lazy to abduct human maidens."
"Meh, grimlocks . . . we fought a dragon . . . and the grimlocks er no' likely ta go there quickly 'til they discover da dragon is gone," Thurgan offered.
