"I do not care one way or another for the items in the cave, but if we are going to get them, we are all going to the mansion anyway--where Sykhia will be, and where we can get horses. It will be easier to carry the supplies with the horses." Anton is a little confused. "I am not sure why Cade insists on running ahead, though. We will see to Sykhia one way or another. And, something was obviously wrong before, but did not try to do anything earlier. Why the change?"

(OOC: So we've got Cade, who wants to go ahead on his own to check on Sykhia, Anton who just wants to go to the mansion, and Thurgan who wants to get the treasure. Any other ideas or supporters of one of those three?)

ooc: Wasn't the plan, earlier, to go to the mansion? I'm all for sticking to that plan.

OOC: If the others start following, Cade will slow down to stay with them, as he stated earlier. He was under the impression you all wanted to go and get the treasure now. But he's also generaly just wanting to move on as quickly as possable, being sickened by the events that just took place.

ooc: Not sure where he got that impression from, but we're all inherently following anyway.

"Cade, slow down! We are all going to the mansion, too."

Cade slows down to let the others catch up. Still, the little halfling seems distracted, or lost in thought.

*The group continues onward and eventually reaches Larue's Manor. There are people out and about, including a gardener and a few children at play, but as the group approaches, they all begin to rush back inside the manor house, with one little girl crying and hiding in her mother's arms.*

*As they reach the manor house proper, they see Larue on the balcony, accompanied by a woman dressed in simple maid's livery and a small boy.*

"It appears I deeply misjudged you," he calls down to them, steel in his voice.

"Oh? We could probably say the same 'bout you, but that seems like a strange greatin'" Cade says. "Where's Sykhia?"
