(Adventure) Immortality Awakens (Knight Otu Judging) Part II

"Maybe," Anton talks very slowly now, to make sure the messenger will understand, "You did not understand earlier. You spoke to my friend with less than complete respect. Apologize, now." He pulls back his cloak, to make his arrows visible, and easy to access.

"You, a messenger whom I do not know, spoke of my friend, a nice but short-tempered lady and hero of the town, with disrespect. Her actions were in response to your foolish words. Apologize to her now."

Anton does not care for excuses, if the messenger does not apologize, he's a pincushion, unless Thurgan or someone else wants to stop him.
[sblock=OOC]First and second rapid shots (1d20+4=15, 1d8+1=6, 1d20+4=15, 1d8+1=3)
"I am sorry, Larue, for your messenger. He could not survive the ravages of adventuring."[/sblock]

*The messenger shakes his head in disbelief.*

"You're all mad! Look, you all know the way. I can see I'm not needed here, so I'm going to head back to town."

*As the messenger turns to leave, Anton shoots him twice in the back with arrows, and he drops to the ground instantly in a pool of blood.*

ooc: I wouldn't have waited for him to turn--I'm surprised he finished his sentence

"Now, what'd ya do that for?" Cade says. He heads over to the messanger, and checks for signs of life. If he finds them, he does what he can to save the poor man.

OOC: Cade would have liked to have tried to stop him. Little too late.

Thurgan - Init: +2; AC: 19; HP: 36/36; Atk: W-axe +8 (1d10+5), X-bow +5 (1d8+1)

Thurgan smiled a gruff smile at Tandi, offering, "It's alright lass, da man'll 'pologize fer his words, then we ken be on 'er way."

Thurgan turned from restraining Tandi, hoping that his actions had restored some order, only to see the messenger in a heap with arrows in his back. He hadn't seen Anton fire the shots though only in retrospect did he hear them. He glanced around . . . too angry for words at the moment.

ooc: Hey Everyone,

Im gonna be out of town for the next few weeks. I may or may not have internet access, and may or may not get any posts. Rystil, please feel free to advance or leave idle my character.

(OOC: Ah, okay--you said someone else might restrain you and you were waiting for an apology, but since you were shooting twice, you must not have been readying an action--so this was a delay. So the messenger took his next action and then you got to go immediately ;))

(OOC: Sure--no worries :) Hopefully we'll be on a part that's really cool by the time you get back!)

*Cade heads over and dismounts, then he checks for a pulse, but he botches his attempt and can't get a definitive answer. Finally, he manages to determine that the messenger is barely alive, so he attempts to save him with some untrained CPR. This fails, and the messenger dies.*
