(Adventure) Immortality Awakens (Knight Otu Judging) Part II

"Sykhia told me 'fore that there were 'ordes of orcs that were threatenin' ta rampage 'er village, an there were orcs raidin' other villages in the area as well. While I'm not sure why anythin' 'asn't been done, your people need your help, and I wanted to bring it to your attention."

"Beyond that, I hope ya kin take care of the widow and child. The events that have transpired here sicken me, and I'll not be assosating with these companion's much longer, for I have not the stomach nor the moral flexability to do so. If it weren't for a dying little girl in Orussis, I'd not be out here with them today."

"Orcs? Perhaps they seek revenge for the death of their dragon master. I shall do my best. Fortunately, we recently received a large number of valuable masterwork weapons and armour from the mayor of a town to the west, so that might give the soldiers a fighting chance, but orcs are tough. Anyway, good luck with your little girl. Now get out of here before I have to explain to the family why I haven't arrested you."

"Tis good to hear. Take care of Sykhia, and the Widow has my sympathies."

Cade returns with the guards and collects his weapons.

"Sykhia is fine, likely finer than she was when we first met her. Let's see what's left in the cave."

Rystil Arden said:
"You don't even apologise and now you're trying to offer a bribe? Even the wealthy cannot simply buy off the just desserts of their evil deeds. The sentence of hard labour is meant not as slavery but to give the murderer time to think about their sins, to force them to accept the consequences of their actions, although nothing could ever equal the grief of the bereaved family of the innocent victim."
"Maybe you did not hear me, but I did apologize for the loss. My offer of money is not a bribe, but if you are willing to throw out the family over some money, I am willing to help them. If you are expecting grief from me, you will get none."

At the request of his name, Anton does not hesistate to say his full name--Anton Brandovold.

When all is ready to leave, he will go.

"You specifically said 'I do not apologize for my actions'," Larue points out, "The callous indecency of such an act is mind-numbing."

*Later, when everyone is ready to go, they head out once more.*
