Adventure: Just Before Nightfall (DM:johnmeier1, Judge:Ozymandias79)

[sblock=Extended rest]
Yes I do think that an extended rest would be good.
Taking it within sight of where the bad guy vampire probably lives is not very good.
Perhaps we should head back to town? (wasn't it only like a 15 minute walk?)

"Bah! If we be restin' and grabbin' our sleep the girl could be killed, or worse, made inta one a them shadowy creatures. I'm fer thinkin' if we can be quikc, we can get ta him before the little runt even knows we've killed his pups and his little friends here" Murphy says

[sblock=ooc]
I think only Tonk and Janus have used their dailies, we all have AP's, besides Tonk we're all fine on HS's. C'mon, are we heroes? Tonk can stick close to Shorrin to keep the enemies off him?[/sblock]

[sblock=items] I'll put down Tonk as owning the gloves:
Power (Daily): Free Action. Use this power after you make a damage roll for a melee weapon attack. Reroll one damage die, using the second result even if it’s lower.

I think Larinza is using the Healer's Brooch since Dextyr does not have a neck slot free, am I right? The effect then makes her Inspiring Word heal HS+1d6+1

[sblock=Extended Rest] I would discourage you from taking an extending rest, not just as an Evil DM, but actually since renau1g is right that you have over 50% of your resources left for the fight. Also I can leak that this is the last encounter of the adventure and will wrap up the story... I told you it would be short[/sblock]

OOC: Larinza is infact wearing the healing broach,

Does anyone need an inspiring word Larinza will use one on herself.

I'm personally against using an extended rest here.

Tonk and Murphy move through the shadows of the trees, approaching the far building. Their allies reluctantly follow, eyes alert for danger. A brush covered clearing opens up from the trees. The sun has finally set and the dim glow of twilight illuminates the ruins of a grand cathedral. The two towers at the front have crumbled over the years and the high, thin windows stare like a dozen empty eye sockets shrouded in gloom. The front doorways are covered with rubble from the towers but one seems open enough for entry.

[sblock=OOC] Go ahead and RP your approaches to the cathedral and I will go with individual actions or suggestions for the group OOC.[/sblock]

Murphy smiles as darkness begins to fall over the land, this was his time, the time of shadow, when his powers were at their fullest. With Tonk moving stealthily beside him, the assassin carefully picked his way through the brush.

Stopping at the edge of cover, Murphy will whisper to the others, "Maybe Shorrin & Larinza can go peek inside, see if its safe? Tonk, me and Janus can cover ya from back here." he suggests, pulling out his crossbow.

[sblock=ooc]
Suggestion: Shorrin and Larinza move forward together, Dextyr a few feet, 20?, back and the others here with ranged weapons ready. If it's clear we can all move up...[/sblock]

"Usually the door that seems... open is often trapped." Shorrin moves forward cautiously, testing each step before he puts his full weight on the ground.

Tonk and Shorrin both move forward, the half-orc not seeing any traps and the dragonborn not triggering any. Silence reins except for the jingling of Shorrin's armor. They stand at the open entrance to the cathedral. The building looms forty feet high, but must have stood almost one hundred with the towers until they began to fall. The crumbling entrance appears to lead through the rubble into the structure, undisturbed and shadowed.

[sblock=OOC] There is an slightly winding passageway ahead, both Shorrin and Tonk can see inside, normal vision for about 10 feet before all darkness in the dim light and low light vision can see that the passageway extends at least 30 feet maybe more. Both of them and anyone that moves forward to the entrance can make the skill check below to get more information.

[sblock=Nature or Dungeoneering 24]
The rock formations above the passageway is unstable, moving through it might trigger a rockslide from above.
