[Adventure] Lost Love (DM: Velmont - Judge: Renau1g)

[SBLOCK=OOC]You passive perception only reveal what I have reveal to you. You are still in the hole (which would be the basement of the hunting cottage), so you have no view of the ground level.[/SBLOCK]

Jarren climbs the stairs to the outdoors, remaining behind Unit 16 in case of an ambush. "Let me see what kind of trail they've left," he says grimly.

[sblock=OOC]Perception 1d20+16=24... exactly the same as my passive Perception, thanks to Talkrai's mantle. Hmm.[/sblock]

[SBLOCK=OOC]In the perception skill description, they talk about passive perception check. In the Ardent class feature, they talk about a bonus of +2 to Insight and Perception check. Sounds the bonus apply to passive perception and insight.[/SBLOCK]

Unit 16 climb up the ladder and looks around. Nothing to be seen in the clearing. There seems to be no trace of Priam or the last worker. Jarren climbs after him and he feels like observed. He then see a glittering in the trees that surround the clearing.

Ryda help Talkrai to walk up to the ladder. As she stare at her companions, she feels Jarren's tension.

[SBLOCK=OOC]The clearing is 60 feet radius and the basement have been dug in the center of it. So Jarren and Unit 16 stands at 40 feet from the nearest border or the clearing (which is north of you). Jarren have spot the group at 60 feet from you (At the West). For reference, the door is at teh eastern part of the basement.[/SBLOCK]

[sblock=OOC]If they're only sixty feet away then I guess we'd hear them if they were running, so are they standing still, creeping away quietly, or what? It makes a difference since if they're motionless (and maybe setting up an ambush) then Jarren's response will be quite different than if they seem to be trying to get away.[/sblock]
