Adventure:-- LPNN (Manzanita Judging)

Juliana. 5/11 HP 18 AC

Juliana will change targets and help Halidor with Slinker, hoping to eliminate at least one attacker so they can move on to another, attacking him using her flail two handed (+2 to hit, 1d8+3 damage, 20x2 crit)and letting her shield slump (AC 16). Slinker is flat footed to me since his is in a grapple, and with a melee attack I can chose either opponent to hit.

"Vargo's down, but he's not in bad shape yet. He is bleeding though." She'll call out to her friends.

Juliana's status is in the title, 5/11, no bleeding.

Rasereit may also remember a campfire argument on his previous adventure to the island of Varras'Zul, where he and Ogrin argued tactics with some of the other members. They both agreed that "the best dee-fence is a good oh-fence", that every party member should carry a weapon and that sometimes, it is better to just push back or run past the enemy.

OOC: And to clarify: (1) Zaeryl may have a weapon and (2) you may be able to Bull rush or Overrun the ratty bastard. There's still an AoO involved, but you won't expose your rear to him, and he might just be surprised enough to avoid you.

OOC2: "I16: Ogrin fails to bleed." Damn, even when IC is not involved, we fail ;-)

(OOC: Zaeryl has a nice juicy-looking crossbow in his hands, but that's it. Raz may be the only one better off meleeing and two-handing the axe than crossbowing though. Everyone else is better off with the silvered bolts and crossbow ;))

Razh turns around to retrieve his axe only to find Stinker blocking his way yet again. Cursing and growling, but thanking the gods that Zaeryl is still alive, Razh summons up his strength to blow past his rat-like foe, knocking him down if necessary. The stalwart dwarf roars his clan's battle cry and carries out his action.

OOC: I'll do an intimidate (demoralize opponent, Razh has intimidate +4) and then an overrun attempt, +3 for the opposed Str check unless Stinker avoids it, and an AOO regardless. (If the intimidation is successful, perhaps Stinker would let Razh by? DM ruling, I suppose.)

Demoralize Opponent: You can also use Intimidate to weaken an opponent’s resolve in combat. To do so, make an Intimidate check opposed by the target’s modified level check (1d20 + character level or Hit Dice + target’s Wisdom bonus [if any] + target’s modifiers on saves against fear). If you win, the target becomes shaken for 1 round. A shaken character takes a –2 penalty on attack rolls, ability checks, and saving throws. You can intimidate only an opponent that you threaten in melee combat and that can see you.

I will rule that if you want to you can "squeeze" around Stinker around the rocks above Stinker, but lose your Dex to AC while doing so, and of course provoking an AOO from El Stinkeroo for the movement. That way you can at least get in the square your weapon is located in.

What did you make of this option, which I specified above? There is no chance to not make it to the square you want, but it does draw an AOO (like your overrun attempt would).

Rasereit Vundinn, 9 HP, AC: 15 (No Dex)

OOC: Oh, must have missed that. Squeezing sounds like a good idea, less risk involved. Though it would be nice to have Stinker on the ground. But IC hasn't been good to us, so squeeze by it is.

Yes, but if I overrun and get repelled, I'm prone and I have no axe. I don't know the statistics (and frankly, I've never been a huge fan of metagaming =P ) but possibly taking another hit sounds better than taking two, one while helpless, and still not having a weapon...

The AOO of Stinker was a clear and rather embaressing miss ("5"), resulting in Stinker's head swivelling around and watching to see what you are up to.

Raz is now over his precious axe, his standard action (dispense potion) and move complete.
