"This doesn't look good to me" Irene says, noticing the lack of guards. "Maybe Jezibel and her goons got here before we did, as she knew we stayed her. Maybe she's trying to ambush us here once again. And I'm not really in any condition to fight at this point..."

Nurlan gently puts Irene down before they enter the warehouse. "Can you walk in?" he asks. If something seems amiss, it's best that we all be ready to act. You stay in back if you can't fight, although I hope you can at least use some of your magic, or hold this torch for me so that I have both hands free. If Jezebel is indeed part of the Guild, she may well have stayed with us last night to case the joint, and the guards... well, there's no telling who's in with the Guild in this city."

Nurlan will draw his longspear if Irene takes the torch; otherwise, he'll draw the mace.

OOC: Welcome back, Manzanita. I hope the camping was good.

Tenebrynn readies his staff as he adjusts everyones packs that he is carrying. "If they are waiting for us, perhaps we should be ready for anything. I say if they are in there then we should retreat as they will be waiting in the best spots. We can report to Kim and let him and his bruisers take care of them."

"I can walk yes, but not more than that. I'm not risking my wound opening again. Also I see you have no idea how much energy it costs to use magic, and believe me, I didn't have a good night rest. So maybe someone can check the warehouse, if it's clear, we go in, if not, we split."

Irene takes the torch, and waits for what the rest of the party'll do. Not really having any other choice than doing as they do, she's prepared to go in the warehouse if the rest chooses to do so.

"If you want, I can put the pack on my back now that I've let go of my other load", Nurlan says.

"Just stay in back", Nurlan answers. "I'm big. You're small. Nobody's likely to hit you behind me. And don't worry. There probably isn't anything going on there. In that case, you'll get your rest in a minute. Everybody ready?"

edit: (OOC) What's our marching order? Nurlan won't shy away from going in first if people want, but is there someone else who'd be more effective in front? His spear has reach, so he can use it to cover someone in front of him in melee.

Charlarn draws his morningstar and hefts his shield. "I'm ready. Nurlan, I can go first. The only prayer I have left is sanctuary, which I can use on Irene if need be."

OOC: Welcome back from me, too. Hope you had fun.

Warehouse

OODM: Thanks. Yes. We stayed in the oceanfront town of Manzanita, OR, coincidently. The kids had fun, so I had fun.

The party could attempt to enter through the standard door they are near, or they could go around the corner and investigate the larger sliding door. There are also several windows, about 10' off the ground, that they could attempt to peek through.

Does everyone know their available spells and HPs? Shall I repost? I'd have to look it up. I'll trust you if you post your own.

Nurlan's spells: daze, flare, light, open/close
He has, unfortunately, wasted his bardic music for the day
I believe he is at 3 HP (from Charlarn's healing after being knocked out in the morning melee).

Nurlan isn't particularly partial to one entrance or the other.

Charlarn of Phyrah: Male human cleric 1

spells
0–light, virtue (2);
1–bless, magic weapon, sanctuary*.

hp: 6 out of 8

Let's try the larger door.

I think Tenebrynn is at 4/7hp and has only
0th - Detect Magic, Light, Mage Hand, Message
1st - True Strike
left.

Large door sounds good to me.

Around the corner

The party cautiously approaches the corner of the warehouse. Glancing around it, they see that the larger door, about 70 feet away, is standing open. Outside a wagon sits on the quiet road, its back towards the party, two horses visible on the other side harnessed to it. The wagon is open-backed, with a seat for two up front. A tarp covers the back, but has been pushed up. Once chest is currently sitting there.

A figure stands at the open door holding a torch. At this distance it is difficult to see details, but the pony tail and stature make it seem to be a woman, wearing tight leather armor. She's pointing into the warehouse and speaking, though no one can catch what she's saying. It doens't sound like common.
