Jezebel and Cyr's attacks both veer slightly off mark, though the radiant blast of Cyr's attempted exorcism does cause the apparition to waver unsteadily for a moment.

The apparition roars with hideous laughter as it drifts toward Jezebel, freezing her in its unfathomable gaze. With a tremendous belch, the ghastly beholder spews a cloud of decay and rot all over the tiefling, causing Jezebel to double up with choking spasms.

Hekthesh continues to swing at Sir Exsixten in a frenzy, though to his consternation the mechanical knight's self adjusting plates seem to have dulled the savage blade somewhat, it's blunted edge deflected again and again by the knight's sturdy metal frame.

The remaining tendrils converge on Ferris, driving the cleric to distraction and landing one solid lash on the back of his head.

Dhakanmirr though, remains apart from the fray all the while, still unable to assimilate his own failure and the unexpected arrival of a part of his object of unholy devotion.

ooc: I couldn't resist. [/sblock]Jezebel speaks a short response to the beholder before it blasts her with the cloud of decay. The tiefling falls to her knees, only able to avoid collapsing entirely by supporting herself with her shield. Just then, Ferris's transfer of shadow-tendril spirit slams into her. The dark energy reinforces her body and spirit more than any prayer could. Jezebel grabs her whip from the floor, rises to her feet, and cracks it powerfully against the vestige's central eye.
