Cyr's bolt of radiant light and the thongs of Jezebel's whip strike the horrific apparition from both sides at the same time and...

*BOOM*

The apparition is torn to shreds and a wave of pressure blasts through the room, knocking the wind out of everyone momentarily and snuffing the firepots in the chamber. Looking down, you see that your shadows have returned, and the light in the room has returned to normal.

"Nooooo! Don't leave us lord!," Hekthesh cries out in desperate fury, "You will pay for your meddling with your lifeblood," the badly injured villain spits at your party. Breaking away from the persistent mechanical knight the enraged dark one bears down on Ferris, determined to do as much damage as possible before he is taken out. But, his eyes clouded with pain and rage, Hekthesh cannot land a blow against the shifter, though the nearby tendril's lashing is gradually wearing down Ferris' endurance.

Meanwhile Dhakanmirr stirs, seemingly brought out of his reverie by the explosion of the beholder's ghastly image.

Mini-Update

Hekthesh makes a truly axe-stonished face, as Sir Exsixten's waraxe cleaves a large dent into his brainpan. The dark one topples to the floor and explodes in a cloud of darkness, blinding both Sir Exsixten and Ferris.

GM: Hekthesh is dead. Sir X and Ferris are both blinded (save ends)

Jezebel faintly smiles when both Hekthesh and the beholder are destroyed only seconds apart. She sees that Ferris is still threatened by one remaining tendril, but the betrayer has also stirred from his reverie. She shouts a quick ministration to the shifter before continuing her attack."Open your eyes Ferris! The dark spirits will grant you your chance for revenge!"

OOC: Ferris: immediately make a saving throw with a +4 bonus.

Jezebel then skirts around the room and charges at Dhakanmirr, slamming her lash into his chest. She is careful to remain on the opposite side of the room from Alnar, lest he get caught in an errant blast.
"It's all over for you, Dhakanmirr. Your pathetic ambitions die here!"

OOC: I think Alnar's only chance of survival is a DC15 heal check to stabilize him. Even a 20 on a saving throw won't help if he has no surges left. Sadly, Jezebel is not very good at heal checks. Edit: Or Ferris's woundstitch powder. I totally forgot about that stuff, lol.

In a whirlwind moment Ferris watches Jezebel and Cyr destroy the Vestige, is struck by the last tendril, barely beats back a vicious charge from Hekthesh, then to see Hekthesh fall to Sir Existen's axe and find himself blinded by the aftershock.

Standing there a bit dazed, he hears Jezebels strident calls through it all, helping him clears his senses. Unfortunately, h isn't able to at this time. Trying to envision his surroundings before he went blind, Ferris carefully moves towards Alnar as he retrieves the Woundstitch Powder from his pack.
