[Adventure] Murder Most Foul! (Judge: EvolutionKB)

The party falls for over two seconds, the anticipation of contacting the bottom increasing in the pitch blackness. They twist their bodies in midair in an attempt to land safer. Some of them bounce off side walls that start to narrow. The stones of the floor that fell are beneath the team and hit some sort of underground river first. The party slams into the some of the stones whose downward progress is slowed only for an instant, knocking the wind out of everyone. A foul stench arises as each person is thrust underwater. Is this the sewers? Fortunately, nobody swallows the fetid water, but it does manage to get into Boruuk's mouth causing him to cough and gag. The taste is awful.

Immediately, the party is swept along in the fast moving water, buffeted and pummeled against the sides of the narrow pipe-like tunnel. Artemus, Boruuk, Hasifar and Tirial have some difficulty swimming along the surface and towards the middle, but they manage. Knoepf has no control and is mostly swept under the water with little chance to breathe.

This continues for what seems like a few minutes, but the water eventually dumps out of the pipe and into a larger pool-like area, allowing everyone to reorient. The party must be fairly far from where they came in as they wash up on a stone beach of sorts. Knoepf pulls out his magical lantern which shows a cave leading away. Barely able to catch their breath yet, people help each other out of the water where Knoepf and Boruuk lie on the stone floor, Knoepf sucking in great heaps of air and Boruuk coughing and hacking.

Tirial suddenly notices movement out in the water.

Anyone can roll a Nature roll to figure out what these things are.

The entire floor is difficult terrain due to water, potholes, and slippery slime.

At the moment with low light vision, Artemus, Knoepf and Tirial can see 10 squares beyond Knoepf's location. Boruuk and Hasifar with normal vision can only see 5 squares beyond Knoepf's location.

Everyone hung on to their weapons and have them in hand.

Note: Monster 2 is at Q3/4 and Monster 3 is at Q8/9. I didn't want to zoom out any further and they will come in shortly.

Tirial's muscles ache mightily as she manages to keep her feet after the fall. Seeing the movement in the water, the ranger reacts quickly, "We've got company" she warns as a pair of arrows streak towards the lead foe, one of them glancing off it and streaking towards the middle foe.
