[Adventure] Murder Most Foul! (Judge: EvolutionKB)

"Those bags of bones were stronger than they looked. Wonder what or who in Khyber put them here? Seems like an odd place. Well... no time to worry about that now though, if we're all ready to go I can go 'knock' on the door" Boruuk says, tapping his axe head as he stands up from catching his breath.

Tirial will spend the time while the other rest to re-tighten her bowstring and then she'll move close to the door leading out. She'll listen carefully for anything on the other side that may be waiting to waylay them.

[sblock=ooc]
No HS's needed after Knoepf's earlier heal.

Tirial will use passive check of 20 for perception to hear anything beyond the door before Boruuk smashes it in.

After resting for a while, the starts slowly getting to their feet to check out the door. It is totally quiet, the only sounds heard are from the party itself.

Here is where I think everyone is at. In the future, I'll need to keep track of this as we go on. As is, I spent a few hours here going back and re-reading all of the posts (multiple times), so I think this is now correct.

Artemus

Hit points: 32 of 39
Action points: 3 of 3
Surges: 1 of 7
Milestone dailes: Amulet of Elegy, Wounding Dagger
Dailies: Easy Target

Note: I wasn't sure Velmont wanted to use up his last surge of the day for only 7 points, so I didn't yet apply the last surge.

Boruuk

Hasifar

Knoepf

Dailies: Hunter's Bear Trap

The party only has 4 waterskins of water. If they take an extended rest now (or even later), they have a choice of sharing the water (low DC Endurance check for everyone) or not (higher DC Endurance check for those without water). In any case, the group will be out of water for the following day unless they decide to really ration it in which case it will be a higher DC Endurance for everyone during the extended rest. Let me know.

I could only find an Action Point used by Knoepf. I'm not sure if that is correct or not, I might have just missed some. People seem to be hoarding those pretty heavily though.

It is possible that I made mistakes, so if you think your PC is different, please go back and double check and let me know if you disagree.

KarinsDad, I used one in this fight so I should be at 2/3 AP's. Is there any light filtering in from under/around the door?

Also, is your friend ready to start if I get the game going soon-ish? We seem to have the wiki situation sorted out now.[/sblock]

Knoepf dims the light and Tirial tries to look under the door, but it is pitch black. But the odor that the group has noticed is definitely much stronger at the base of the door. She gets no other clues as to what might be on the other side.

[sblock=Endurance]
Endurance check for Tirial.

Tirial gags at the smell from the other side, but manages to keep her food inside her stomach.

"Whatever stinks down here is coming through there. Ughhh...I don't want to be going in there, but I guess we don't have much choice" the eladrin comments

The smell is really bad, but Tirial manages to not cough and gag like Artemus did earlier. She does notice, though, that if she hadn't pulled back from it quick enough, she probably would have. It's not the smell itself that is so terrible, it's what happens when it is breathed in.

And with such a powerful whiff of it, Tirial also notices that she has smelled this type of smell before, but she just cannot remember where. It has the feint smell of death, but it's a lot more sickly sweet than that. It smells like some type of decaying flower. If only she could remember.
