[Adventure] Murder Most Foul! (Judge: EvolutionKB)

Tirial sits for a moment, stepping outside to clear her head.

She straps on the new gloves, looking them over.

*I'll use the one surge with Healer's Mercy to get to 46/50.

Knoepf straps on his new boots. "Ahhhhh...they fit perfectly and are quite comfortable. Bless the lady of the silver flame. I'm but a humble servant. Thank you. May these boots help keep me out of harms way in future encounters against the forces of evil" Knoepf's thrust his holy symbol upwards as a gesture of triumph.

Boruuk slams his axe against one of the pieces of furniture in anger once the woman leaves.

He straps on his newfound belt and displays the large buckle proudly.

*Could I get one healing word Knoepf? If I use 2 surges it gets me to 51/62 - the 1d6+11 will top him up even with min rolls

Knoepf uses healing word on Boruuk. "There ya go Boruuk. Now your ready. We'll get another chance at Sloane." Knoepf becomes visiblely angry at the mention of the cursed name. "We'll get her."

2d6+11=18+Boruuk can spend a healing surge.

The group finishes their seach of the room and also finishes their rest. The room yields no further clues.

The magic items will definitely help them, but it's likely that Sloane will consider it theft. The group is sure that she seems the type to take revenge.

As they exit through the east door, they find a totally empty room. It's likely that this was just another guard station for Sloane's skeletal troops.

At the other end of this room is a good sized stone door, barred and bolted on this side. It looks like it has been forever since it has been opened. It's likely that the bar and the bolts will make quite a bit of noise if pulled.

[sblock=Please check this]
Artemus 44/44, 1 surge used
Action Point used

Knoepf 41/45, 3 surges used
Beacon of Hope used

Tirial 50/50, 3 total surges used (1 from previous night)
Cloak of Resistance used

Hasifar 44/46, 2 surges used

Boruuk 61/62, 1 surge used
Berserker's Fury used
Rain of Steel used
Action Point used

Please let me know if I made any mistakes here.

Note: Knoepf's Healer's Mercy was affected by his Beacon of Hope as was his earlier Healing Words, so instead of 14+surge, it healed 19+surge. I also adjusted the Healing for Artemus and Hasifer for the +5 to the Healing Words. I didn't catch that during the encounter itself. dimsdale, you need to keep on top of your powers.

Note: I assumed that nobody is doing any Healing Surges after the combat since the Healer's Mercy combined with the Beacon of Hope healed so well. If not, let me know.

Note: after a short rest, Tirial becomes accustomed to the smell and is no longer at -1 on each D20 roll.

Also, if everyone could make sure that their character sheet at:

LEB:PC:Character Name - ENWorld Living Eberron Wiki

is up to date. Thanks.

I think Knoepf has used 4 surges.

[sblock=OOC]
Ok, I went back and checked.

You posted above that Healer's Mercy affected Knoepf, but it does not. It only affects allies. It does not do 19 + surge to Knoepf, but it does it to Boruuk and Tirial.

Since Boruuk does not need a Healing Word after the encounter and neither does anyone else, we can give that Healing Word to Knoepf instead.

So, 1 Healing Surge when Artemus did the Heal Skill check, 1 Healing Surge when you rolled 20 on the Death Saving throw, and Knoepf was at 11, and one Healing Word during the short rests for 18 plus surge, Knoepf is at 11+18+11=40/45 instead of 41/45, one point fewer because Healer's Mercy does not affect him and by the time he gets Healing Word back after the first short rest, Beacon of Hope has expired. Knoepf then takes a second short rest to restore Healing Word.

That's 3 healing surges. If you want to take a 4th surge to get to 45/45, let me know.

"Hmmm, looks strong, not sure if even I can open it, but I can give it a try" Boruuk says, walking over to the stone door, waiting to unbolt it until everyone gives him the go ahead.

[sblock=KarinsDad]
That looks good to me. Thanks! [/sblock]
