Arkavas recognize the pattern. The circles are summoning circles, and the brazier at the room’s center is a summoning device. Destroying it should end any summoning here. But for now, they all seems inactive.

"Watch out for that flaming bowl in the middle of the room. It's designed to summon beasts to the rune circles in the corner of the room. Let's just not touch it."
 

Sweetness hardly seemed interested in resting for long, despite her exertions in dealing with the lightning trap. She sat for perhaps a minute or so, but then she was up on her feet again, relentlessly prowling around the room.

"Don't need to touch flaming thing, yep yep yep," she cackled. "Is magic trap, I bet. As soon as we open that door, if we do it wrong, flames light up and nasty things appear, yep yep yep. Anybody with sharp eyes want to take a look through blind hallway before we tackle this door?"

OOC: Maybe somebody with a decent Perception could look over the "empty" hall section behind the door where the lightning trap was set.
 


Gogmorthak doesn't find anything into the dead end room of the hall. His suspicions tells him it was only a lure to reckless and curious adventurers so they suffer more from the lightning trap.
 

Radtash enters the empty room at the end of the hallway and waits until he is needed.

[SBLOCK="Tactics Idea"]If the summoning room trap is anything like the others we have seen, then I expect we will not be able to get by without triggering the summons.

I would suggest that we setup an ambush for the summoned monsters. We should wait in the empty room past the lightning hall, and send someone into the summoning room to trigger the trap. I would suggest we send Gogmorthak, since he has a Combat Sprint encounter power.

We could have Gruff and Sweetness defend the empty room entrance, and after all the summoned enemies are in the Lightning Hall Sweetness could turn the lightning trap on.

Summary:
  • Gogmorthak: Approach the brazier with a readied action to Combat Sprint out as soon as the summoning is triggered.
  • Sweetness: Ready an action to activate the trap as soon as four (that is my guess) enemies enter the lightning hall.
  • Everyone else: Setup defenses in the empty room.

Gruff tightens his grip on his blade. "Radtash, I like your plan. Let's do it- but let's not get caught on the wrong side of a poison cloud this time!"
