"This place seems a little... off... to me, and not just because there are runes in blood on the floor." Narvala says, carefully pacing around the apparently exit-free chamber, and trying to figure out why.

[sblock=ooc]
insight to see if she can tell if all is as it seems; perception for a more mundane look around; religion to see if any of the runes have any religious significance. (1d20+14=21, 1d20+7=22, 1d20+10=15)

Also, aid another to Arkavas' arcana check auto-succeeds; I don't think another +2 will help a lot, but it could.

[SBLOCK=OOC]I will ask pathfinderq1 to play Gruff while Tinwe is missing, as HMG have already Radtash and if I start to play half your team, I will be playing both side and that's kind of suck...[/SBLOCK]

Narvala have a bad feeling. Thinking about it, she remembers a few Khyber ritual that implicate the sacrifice of blood but she doesn't recognize the bloody sigils on the floor.

Sweetness approach the sarcophagus. She inspect it with Arkavras, but doesn't see any trap on it. He then decide to open. Both start to push on the cover when it explodes! Standing in the swirling dust is an emaciated tiefling woman who looks more devil than human, and all dead. A red stone on an iron chain blazes on her chest. She screams, "No one can have the Wrathstone but me! You’ll die, just like all the rest. Perhaps it will be your souls that will finally pay my way into Khyber’s Realm!" On that, she summon a creature that appears behind her.

[SBLOCK=Dungeoneering DC:17]The summoned creature is a Dolgaunt, a pawn of Khyber.[/SBLOCK]

OOC: Quick technical question before I put a real post together- does the tiefling's summoning constitute an action on her part, before the normal initiative (ie. does she get a 'surprise round' action to start things off), or is it essentially a "special effect" of how the encounter evolves? Need to know to find out if Sweetness can use her First Strike rogue class feature.

As soon as the tiefling made her appearance, Sweetness let go of the sarcophagus and drew her dagger. Snarling and yelping like an entire pack of wolves by herself, the gnoll dropped into a crouch and lunged forward. The tiny glittering blade cut deeply, and Sweetness stepped quickly backward, her yelps now taunting her foes...

OOC:
>Minor: draw dagger (assuming both hands were in use to open sarcophagus)
>Move: Shift to I 7
>Standard: Attack using Handspring Assault (with CA from First Strike class feature); +15 vs. AC= 33 (I sure hope that hits, but will retcon if it doesn't); deals 10 damage +5 Sneak Attack= 15 total (terrible roll), and Sweetness can Shift 2 squares (to G 6); Roll Roll Lookup

"We're not here for the rock love!" Arkavas wades in hoping others will follow (and hoping this lady doesn't have an aura or something), "Gonna need some help with this old lady." [sblock=Actions]Move: H6
Standard: Scouring Weapon
Attack: 1d20+12=31;2d12+6=20
Hit Effect: Hits AC 31 for 20 damage. Target takes -2 to AC until Arkavas' next turn
AP: Force Infusion
Attack: 1d20+12=19;1d12+8=17
Memory Of a Thousand Lifetimes: 1d6 = 6
Hit Effect: Hits AC 25 for 17 damage. UENT Whenever an ally hits the target with a melee attack, that ally pushes the target one square.

I hate to be painfully honest, but I think I burned dancing weapon during that last encounter (quite needlessly I might add). Oh well. Would come in handy right now.[/sblock]

Radtash moves a little closer, albeit a little more cautiously than last time (not wishing to repeat the mistakes that almost ended with his demise). [sblock=OOC]Move: D7
Standard: Bane
Attack: 1d20+8=12 vs. Will
Hit Effect: (not likely but...)Target takes a penalty of 5 to attack rolls and all defenses until the end of Radtash's next turn.[/sblock]

Gogmorthak moves quickly in to the summoned tentacly monster thing and slams his great axe into it with an amazingly huge hit that sends blood and gore spraying all across the room. He follows through to make sure its dead before howling with bloodlust and charging the Tiefling.

[sblock=ooc]
Actions:
Minor:
Move: to L5
Standard: avalanche strike Dolgaunt ac (1d20+13=33, 3d12+11=26) = crit! = 47dmg + crit dmg (2d12=13) = 60dmg + high crit (1d12=12) = 72 dmg
Trigger: Rampage: Free basic melee atk atk vs dolgaunt ac (1d20+13=21, 1d12+7=18) = hit? 18 dmg.

If its dead then more triggers happen:
Rageblood vigor: gain 9 temp hit points
Swift charge to K5 and howling strike vs. tiefling ac (1d20+13=31, 1d12+1d6+7=17) = hopefully hit for 17 dmg.

Note: AC is 4 lower until start of my next turn.
