(Adventure) The bastards of XXXXXX Bluerun

After several murmered charms and light touches, the halforc stirs and comes out of his fever dreams (magicly brought up to 1 hp). He is confused momentarily by the change of venues, but one of the women quietly says "Your friends are here as well sir, please relax," and he sees the others looking on with concern.
Gath looks at each of them, thinks for a moment and finally talks. "Where we be ? Where be Count Soul Man ? Me smash bad ... He whip me ?" Gath then looks to the ground seeming sad and ashamed.

When she is done, Rainca lowers her flute and sits quietly for a little while looking at the delicate flute in her rough hands. She takes a deep breath and, tucking the flute carefully away, stands. She walks over to Gath and smiles, surreptitiously inspecting his poultices and stitching, "Warrior Gath. Welcome back. What did The Laugher say?" The metered phrasing of her question speaks of ritual.
"Laugher ? Me meet no laugher ... Who he be ?"

OOC: more congrats ! And don't worry about the slow pace. We all have our obligations. Sadly, to many games just die because the game simply slows down. Patience is essential for PBP games !

"Thank you for this Rainca," Dioran responds when he takes her self-made scarf. "We are honored to accept this. Alas we are ashamed to admit that we have nothing of equal value to present to you in return. Instead would you allow us to use in to adorn something for you? Perhaps one of your scabbards or weapon handles. Or beter yet, we may be able to use it and its design for a cloak. A reversible one, dark forest colors and patterns on one side for when you hunt, and your bright design on the other to show off when among friends. It would take some time, but what do you say?" When Rainca shows her concern and insight, Dioran is quiet for a long time. Just when she thought he would not say anything, Dioran speaks:"Indeed you are correct. Our first incident did not proceed at all as we expected. You are a warrior, Rainca, you have seen blood before. We have never seen conflict before which was not of a more socially accepted nature. It was unsettling to feel both pity for these men and to want to taste their blood, all at the same instant. We fear not these men as much as we fear what this hunt, as Joseph no doubt sees it, will eventually inflict on our mind."
"Still, we have a job which must be done. We would appreciate it if you kept our conversation to yourself for the time being. We feel you will understand this, but it might adversely affect the others if they think we are not up to the task at at hand."

When she asks for Dioran to clean the prisoners he responds somewhat abrubtly. "No. We will not perform any manner of service for them. They may be peasants pressed into brigand duty, or they may not, but the fact remains that they had wanted to harm us. To clean or otherwise help them at this time might make them believe they have been forgiven, to an extent at least, which we have not. Should they give us enough information to find the true whoresons, we might reconsider. An addition, these magics are more draining than you might expect. We would not be able to clean them today even if we wanted to."

Hof.

OOC: Hey folks, sorry for the short notice - I'll be out of town for the weekend and won't be posting, most likely, until Monday. I'll try to post today if I can. Feel free to move along if need be.

"Let's make a deal then: You keep the living filth of our back, and we will clean the dead remains of your armor. How does that sound to you?" Then with a grin and a wink, Dioran magically cleans the spikes as requested.

"That sounds like good deal. I never liked cleaning anyways." Replies Lupic as he watches wide-eyed as the gore magically vanishes from his armor.

OOC: Sorry again for short notice, but I'll be out until Sunday and will pick up with posting early next week. KB, please autopilot Rainca as following along quietly, on the lookout, even in the quiet village. She has not forgotten the angry crowd.

OOC: We're still here. Cooling our heels and trying to develop some esprit de corps amongst the crew. Or something. :) A couple of posts since we arrived in Bluerun have been directed at Joseph, so there's something for you to respond to when you get a chance.

Gath

With no answers to his questions, Gath gets up, slowly, and starts looking for some 'gloobuck'.

OOC : I'm here too. I was just waiting one more answers.

ok, sorry for the delay, as mentioned earlier, you have a night of resting to plan and send for anyone you would like to question. you still have the maps you were shown in the wagon indicating a few "probably occupiable" locations in the old mine systems to the west of town. By morning you have recieved 3 more hit points each for those who were wounded and a second visit from the healers can add up to 6 more, divied as needed (gath still likely won't be at full, but most others should.) the question is what do you do next?

Once the waking hour approaches, Joseph Dar'maryon bathes and dresses himself. After a moment's thought he shakes Dioran into wakefulness. "Cling to the darkness. If all is well, our coming intrigues should go unnoticed by Bluerun Council Proper."

OOC: I'll do my best to respond to the previous night's conversations later tonight.
