Eldreth practically growls when two more goblins appear, attempting to make Kruor a stuck pig. And now that the hobgoblin had backup, he was more confident then ever! That wasn't going to stop Eldreth, though. Taking a few steps back, she braced herself against the stone wall of the tower. Pushing off with all of her might, she careened into the fray, swipping her hammer at the hobgoblin with a mighty full 360 degree rotation. Though his armor protected him well against the majority of attacks, the momentum of Eldreth's hammer was simply too much for the Hobgoblin, who fell the full fury of Eldreth's battle wrath! Not stopping after the hobgoblin's head snapped back, Eldreth drove the spiked end of her hammer into one of the newly appearing goblin's skulls, taking him out of the fight permanently. That attack had obviously taken a lot out of her, because she didn't come back with another horrible drinking pun against the goblin. Of course, it might just be the fact that the hobgoblin was still standing after she had given him all she had...and though she could see she was wearing him down...she was slightly disappointed that it hadn't taken him out. Not wanting to obsess and get distracted, Eldreth pulled her hammer and shield back into a defensive position, ready to pound the hobgoblin again should Skyla lose his attention and allow him to attack either herself or another of their companions.

Skyla is rocked back on her heels as the hobgoblin's flail smashes into her face, and she feels her legs tremble as if they were made of jelly. Her first instinct is one of blind blood rage to strike back, but the soothing aura emanating from Everlin allows her to regain her strength and take stock of the situation around her. A quick glance around the room shows her that in their rush towards the leader, the group has left a clear path for a goblin to attack their mind-wizard. Pushing aside her desire for vengeance, she strikes out to protect her ally. Though it takes a tremendous effort, she manages to convince her legs to move just enough that she can reach the goblin with her sword. Her legs were slowed, but her arm is working just fine. Her sword appears to glow with radiant energy as it arcs through the air, then comes crashing down on the goblin's head, slicing it cleanly in half, and immediately cauterizing the wound as it passes through. "Hey look, " Skyla shouts, "I didn't spill any blood either!"

Arshaka reaches out with his larger right hand and grasps at the smaller goblin with his telekinesis. As the small goblin involuntarily lifts off the ground, it's arms shoot up to grab at the invisible force holding its head. It's screams are muffled and quickly silenced as the sound of bones cracking heralds the collapse of the creatures skull into itself. Blood and brains spew out onto the floor as the corpse is tossed to the floor where its legs kick feebly before going still.

Kruor lashes out against the hobgoblin landing a powerful attack against the beast.

The hobgoblin roars a terrible roar. Seeing that the goblin's lying around him, the goblins that he had used to protect himself, were dead he begins to go into a rage of self-surrvival. He moves out of the circle he is in and takes a swing at Everlin. The hit lands well, almost knocking her off of her feat.

OOC: Okay players may now go. I'll wait to play Kruor untill the next post of monsters (giving Treex time to get back). Don't forget to attack him for moving away from you little dwarf.

The horrid little creature continues with it's taunting and mocking. Seeing that the lone goblin survivor doesn't even notice him, he moves to the corner, brooding and bored.

Eldreth, sensing that her foe was trying to move out of her reach, takes a swipe at him with her hammer. Unfortunately, the blow only barely grazes the hobgoblin's heavy armor with a thunk before the hobgoblin is able to step away from her. Eldreth watches in horror as the Hobgoblin nails Everlin with a heavy attack. She had thought she was going to be able to protect her new friends...with an angry growl to cover up her sadness of realizing just how much more she needed to learn about battle, she circles around the battlefield. She was happy to see that Everlin was still standing, a thought that likely distracted her as she charged back into the fray, swipping ineffectively at the Hobgoblin once again.

Arshaka moves smoothly up the stairs after the air stops burning in that area, stepping over the scorched corpses of the goblins at the bottom. Reaching the top of the stairs, he turns his attention to the remaining foe. Reaching out with his oversized right hand, he makes a grasping motion at the hobgoblin. Squeezing the creature mightily, the Shardmind draws it towards himself, smashing it up against the wall on the side of the stairs so that his friends can surround it.

After that exertion, he mentally draws further energy from his magical staff, partially renewing his mental energies.

"HARVESTED RESOURCES REFINED. RESOURCE STORAGE AT MAXIMUM CAPACITY."

Kruor grins in his blood delirium and begins to cackle once more. "YOU TASTE GOOD! NOW YOU DIE!"

With a speed and ferocity that could only be supernatural, the metal monster ravaged the hobgoblin with a gauntlet like metal fist, and quick stabs to vulnerable points with his needle hand. In the short span of two seconds, Kruors companions would see a flurry of no less than twenty attacks (or was it twenty two?) connect against the hobgoblin, and they could almost feel sorry for him as he is quite literally ripped apart from brute force. The battle ends rather quietly, though, as the hobgoblin was completely unable to cry out, a throat full of needles having severed any usefulness that his vocal cords may once have had.

Even though the metal being had no need to breath, Kruor hulked over the dead remains of the hobgoblin, torso rising and falling as though he were trying to catch his breath. Really it was just the sensible part of Kruor doing his utmost to keep from dropping on all fours and sucking up all of the blood and gore into his system!
