"I'm not sneaky, but I'll back you up Varak," Harressh says. He follows twenty-five feet behind the half-orc, trying not to make an excess of noise, staff at the ready.

Vistrathis shakes his head at Harressh.

"Don't go without some backup. I'm going, too," Vistrathis says, staying a few steps behind the dragonborn.

Haltor notices that the glaive-wielder is wearing a nice set of leather gloves that gave him a solid grip on the weapon. As the halfling picks them up, the gloves begin resizing to his smaller hands. Truly these are a worthwhile item.

As the group moves around the corner you see a curious sight, what would be a handsome dark blond half-elf lies there, if not for the many wounds he has suffered, it looks like the hobgoblins really went to work on the man. He wears a very fine made chainmail with a greenish blue tint and a red cape. Next to him against the wall is a backpack and a shield, made from some kind of dark wood, that depicts weeping elf maidens as well as longsword and flute. A set of six-sided dice lie next to them also, it appears they were gambling for the man's gear.

The gloves are Lancing Gloves from Haltor's WIsh List - just a reminder to everyone to make sure you have a wish list unless you tell me you don't mind me selecting treasure for you. I'd prefer a couple items if you don't mind as sometimes it's easier to fit a certain type of treasure into the story

Haltor sighs and slides up next to the wounded man. As the halfork clumsily deals with the man's wounds, Haltor stops him and redirects his efforts to be more useful. Let's not kill him more than he already is.

Seeing that the prisoner is conscious, Vistrathis quickly moves to the half-elf's side and pulls the gag out of this mouth.

"These mountains were supposed to be unoccupied. What, perchance, were you doing up here with these hobgoblins, who are you, and how did you end up like this?" The gith says this as nicely as possible, as he did not think there was any deception to be had here what with the half-elf being tied up and beaten.
