[Adventure] The Cannith Caper (Judge: THB)

"Nicely done, Harressh!" the gith exclaims as he sees the dragonborn rip the large device asunder. Moving in to protect his more vulnerable allies, the swordmage traces a circle of runes in the air with his sword. The gem in the center of his blade's cross guard glows brightly, sending a rune toward each of Vistrathis' closest foes. Pointing his sword toward the nearest warforged, Vistrathis chants thunderous words of power.

"Bianvi! Eeshsi ef'shuti tishu da!"

Like a rumbling storm cloud, the words of power ripple along Vistrathis' outstretched blade before shooting out toward the gith's chosen enemy. Hitting the warforged like a large sledge hammer, a visible line of power links the living construct to the swordmage, threatening to harm the mechanical menace if it dares to move away. This same power courses over Vistrathis in a trembling cocoon of revenge that would unleash itself on the warforged should it attack its attacker.

[sblock=Actions]

- Move: Move to AO-48.

- Minor: Use Aegis Blade Daily Power. This marks WF 20, WF 49, and Small WF with Aegis of Shielding (save ends).

- Standard: Use Booming Blade vs WF 49's AC. He rolls a 29 and deals 16 damage, and if WF 49 is adjacent to Vistrathis at the start of its next turn and moves away during that turn, it takes 7 (see roll in link above) thunder damage. If WF 49 attacks Vistrathis before the start of its next turn, it takes another 5 damage.

--- Immediate Interupts ---

1) If one of the three marked enemies attacks an ally, Vis will use Aegis of Shielding to reduce the damage of the attack by 9.

2) If one of the three marked enemies targets Vis and one or more allies, Vis will use his armor's encounter power to reduce the damage of the attack against all targets by 7.

3) If none of the three marked enemies hit an ally, but WF 79 damages an ally with a melee attack, then Vis will use Dimensional Vortex on WF 79, teleporting him to the closest warforged within 5 squares, and will make him attack that WF instead of my ally.

Haltor nods at the gith's arrival, and stepping around the larger 'forged, lunges forward heavily in his saddle with this sharrash. He smacks it once on the construct's head before cutting it open. As the construct's attention is drawn away, Haltor quickly glances at Vist, signaling him to be ready.[sblock=OOC]Brash Assault vs LWF49. Varak glares at the warforged, shadowy power revealing the weak point in it's large joints. The half-orc slashes with his blade at the warforged, aiming for the weak joint in it's shoulder, but he steps away before he even sees the result of his attack.

Striding across the battlefield towards the next foes, the barbarian spins his blade across their chests before settling down for the moment.

If it misses, then I do only one shroud of damage(only 2 damage), but I still but the effect of shifting 5 squares: End the shift at AP51, doing 11 damage to small warforged and WF 79.

If I bloody the small warforged or WF 79(and WF49 is up), I will as a free action shift to AO50 and WF49 grants CA to me until end of my next turn.

[sblock=ooc]Um, aren't we jumping the gun here? I don't think renau1g has posted the enemy move this turn. His last update just had PC moves and a map update for Kalidrev. (or did I just get confused somehow?)[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]
That is correct ryry.

Only Kal was supposed to go. I was too preoccupied today to see this, sorry all. You can keep the rolls you've made though [/sblock]

"This unit has suffered an impairment, initiating efforts to remove effect" the large warforged says as it stands up and smashes at the creatures close to it. The githyanki dodges the blow, but Haltor and White-Eye are caught by the enemies fists. Vistrathis' armor flares as it blocks the worst of the blows.

The northern warforged moves quickly towards Varis, "This unit will engage the half-elf, he appears to be vulnerable" as he rushes forward and tries to shoulder the bard, but the chainmail holds up.

The smaller warforged continues circling around and moves behind the githyanki's back. While Vistrathis is battling the large warforged he hears a familiar voice, it sounds somewhat like Harresh, but followed by a painful blow. The attack leaves githyanki slightly confused.

WF49 stands and uses Savage Sweep - vs ac (vist, haltor, white-eye); dmg (1d20+10=13, 1d20+10=20, 1d20+10=26, 1d8+6=13) Hits Haltor and White-eye for 6 after Vist's armor reduction

WF20 - shifts to AL47 and charges Varis (draws OA from Varak) - vs ac; dmg (1d20+9=17, 2d8+9=17) misses.

WF79 - charges Vistrathis - vs ac; dmg (1d20+10=17) miss

small WF moves to AO47 - attacks Vistrathis - vs ac; dmg (1d20+13=27, 3d8+5=22) hits for 22 & –2 penalty to attack rolls (TENT)

Everyone goes first. Would you guys prefer a more free-formed Initiative style? I.e. the common Mal's Rules method. I'm indifferent. Regardless you all go first.

Terrain: Rubble on the floor is difficult terrain

Haltor; Vist, Alex, Harresh, Varak, enemies (1d20+6=17, 1d20+6=10, 1d20+4=21, 1d20+4=23, 1d20+8=24, 1d20+5=10) <- I rolled for Alex instead of Varis, still go first[/sblock]

As the large warforged steps by him and opens himself to attack, the half-orc slashes out with his sword, cutting the creature's bicep and helping thwart it's attack.

[sblock=OA]OA vs warforged (1d20+11=23, 1d10+6=12)[/sblock]

Varak steps around his dragonborn ally and past the little warforged, drawing it's attack, finally into a flank with the enemy that just escaped him. Slashing at the creature's back, Varak doesn't even look to see if his blow hurts the creature before rolling back and slashing at the little one, then spinning and cutting a third.

"Maybe, but first you have to get me!" Varis mocks the construct, his magic blade attach causing it to stumble backwards as the bard reaches his allies.
