[Adventure] The Paper Chase (Judge: renau1g)

Orsik and kal'Tarron are both aware of a kind of inner urging as they look over the edge, and as he approaches more closely Orsik feels that he may indeed have been wise to secure himself. There seems to be something so very tempting about the idea of simply hurling himself over the edge.

He is able to master himself, however, and look about him. He sees nothing unexpected, though - only the tower of the temple stretching away beneath him, and further down the squat bulk of the main building. kal'Tarron, likewise, sees no sign of hidden threats or treasures.

"Hmmm. A possible fight here. Well, there is nothing here now. It's also possible that something was here and flew away when we approached. So, we should be careful to remember when we go back down deeper into the temple, that something could still come up behind us. I suggest we head back down and go down the stairs that we avoided at the main entry. In the meantime, I'll set up Keke as a back guard." Grys says as he turns Keke invisible and has it stay at the top of the stairs to watch the room after we leave.

Taken aback by harsh response, Orsik shrugs and keeps silent. He unties the rope leaving the pin in the middle of the room and the rope attached to himself. He waits for everyone to get on the stairs before moving after them.

Grys steps next to Orsik and slaps him lightly on the back goodnaturedly. "Don't worry Orsik. You'll get used to it. Think of Mythra as that cantankerous old grandmother that everyone loves, but wishes she would just shut the hell up." Grys laughs. ;)

It's too cold in here; I'm freezing! Mythra says, not hearing Grys and pulling his cloak closely around him. Get out of my way, boy! He says to Baracus, pushing him aside.

The group head back down the steep staircase, feeling an oppressive mental weight lift as they do so. They encounter no unpleasant surprises as they retrace their steps and return to the ground floor, leaving the stairs down as the only unexplored part of the temple.

[sblock=OOC]Sorry for the delayed update guys, I've had some trouble accessing EnWorld at any useable speed for a few days.

I assume you're headed downstairs now, but I wanted to give you a chance to tell me otherwise and implement any other ideas you might have. If I don't hear otherwise then I'll move things along tomorrow.[/sblock]
