From the bandits Mikara recovers 73 gold pieces, 20 silver pieces, two crudely made halberds, a suit of hide armour, a spiked chain, 2 hand axes and any number of rough daggers. She notes the distinctively foul smell of effluence about some of their clothes, but thinks that perhaps that is not surprising considering the type of men they undoubtedly were.

Ceryx believes the rune to be supernal in nature, it is very complex even for that script and it lacks the flowing grace that is more typically associated with the divine language. But runes; when used as magical foci, are often altered in minute yet powerful ways.

As Ceryx scrutinises the rune he feels that there is a definite aura of divine power about the essence of the rune's shape, it has a presence to it that reminds him of a feeling from before this life; Long before.

Feeling this aura of divine power, Ceryx asks for the paladin to join him in looking over the rune.

"So, can you make anything of this rune? I feel a sort of energy flowing from it, one I have not felt in quite some time. But I'm having trouble pinpointing it. Any ideas?"

Skalisss tries to assess the divine nature of the runes.

"I don't think they are related to Netari, and I don't think I have seen anything like these before" replies Skalisss.

"I think it best if we take Mr. Kargh and his companions somewhere safe while we hunt down this "lord" of Thomas'. There are any number of places in Daunton he could be hiding. We may do well to seek those displaced by his arrival. This gnoll that was mentioned cannot have been the only one ousted by his arrival. Also, it wouldn't hurt to see if this holy impersonator act is being puretrated elsewhere. Mr. Kargh," Andrec turns to the minotaur and says, "would you prefer we escort you and your companions to Mr. Pinch's establishment or to some other location while you recover?"

[sblock=color]Still experimenting. Feel free to comment.[/sblock]
