Adventure: The Power of Knowledge (DM: Fragsie, Judge: TwoHeadsBarking)

Although taken aback by Andrec's quick demand, the officer scans the proffered document then hands it back to the bookish adventurer accompanied by a click of his heels and a sharp salute.
"Accept my apologies, sir!" the guardsman all but shouts, he eyes focussed on the air above Andrec's head.
"Once you are inside, if you seek out Acolyte Sharlia, she was the one to find the master librarians and she has been most supportive of a full investigation into the incident."
The guards blank expression momentarily as he hesitates to speak again, "But I is afraid I must be takin' the names of the rest of your companions, and ask you all to be careful of flashing your weapons inside, a lot of people are on edge in there."

Not wanting to be seen by anyone, especially guards, Mikara summons the darkness within her soul, shrouding her form. Everything about her fades to a dark grey color that seems to blend in with everything around her, including her companions. Stepping into the middle of the group, she waited for them to move forward past the guards so that she could slip inside unnoticed.

[sblock=Stealth] Mikara uses Shade Form and is hidden from anyone who has a passive perception less than 28. If anyone rolls an active perception check, a 28 or higher will reveal her location. [/sblock]

Andrec will snap off a quick list of first names with no description or distinction, then breeze past the guard. Inside, he will point to the first person he sees and speak like an irritated schoolteacher to a misbehaving student. "You, I am from the city, get me the person in charge here. You," he points to another, "find me acolyte Sharlia. Someone show me where injured men were found." Though normally a shy and unassuming man, Andrec is used to administrating businesses, and is familiar with the library's layout. In this place and task, he is in his element more than any other.

Most of the librarians in the building vaulted entrance hall jump from listless worried postures to hurried busy activity as soon as Andrec's authoritative voice breaks the quiet whispers. The first young man to be singled out by the warlord's finger looked as though he was wishing he were a tortoise and could retract his head. After just a moment of petrified confusion though the kid runs off with clear purpose before the echoes of Andrec's order finish reaching your ears.

The second librarian to be barked at; an older eladrin gentleman, reacts with obvious disdain, "Sharlia! Why in the Seas would you want to see her?

[sblock=Andrec]Being local and having had dealings at the Great Library before, you are able to tell from his robes that this eladrin is a Library Journeyman, quite high up in the establishment's hierarchy.[/sblock]

"Are you retained for the purpose of questioning instructions, or finding answers! Either do as you're told or get out of my way!" Andrec's voice is not raised, but no less forceful for it.

The eladrin stands staring at Andrec for a moment, his shock written across his face for all to see, "Well, excuse me! Ser, you will not get help from me with such an aggressive attitude, I was simply surprised that you would want to speak to a pedlar of children's stories and fey tales. Both the things you seek can be found in the fiction anex, now good day ser, and belive me when I say that you have not heard the last from me!"

With that the superior librarian turns on his heels and stalks out of the hall with a look of thunder in his eyes. the other librarians that are within earshot seem not to be very surprised by the altercation, in fact a pair of novitiates sat a short distance off in an area filled with lecterns, pause in their scribing to whisper and giggle to one another.
