As the party forms a formation, the construct leads the way down the steps. Weapons are drawn as they descend. The monk mentions the point where he stopped his descent. It is clear to everyone that without torch light, they would not be able to see. The steps finally come to an end, which is a ten foot wide hallway that leads into an open space forty feet ahead. As Prime moves forward with the others moving at tow, the construct sees that the hallway opens into a large rectangular room.

Looking up you estimates the height of the ceiling to be 30 feet or so. The light of the torch radiates light 100 feet into the room. It is clear to you that the room is longer than the light of the touches reveals. Thirty feet or so ahead to your left and right are two square (10 ft by 10 ft) pools of blank bubbling liquid. The floor, ceiling and walls are made of polished white marble. The floor however is littered with broken bones. Just were the room fades to darknes you can see strange grooves on the top the ceiling. You'll have to move into the room to get a more accurate discription of the grooves. Other than that, the are smells of death, there is no sound.

Kamotz ignores Drew's further pleading, acting as if he can't hear the monk.

When they reach the hallway, Whiggins stretches and shakes out, sending a cloud of bone dust into the air. What does the trap smell like? whispers Kamotz as he sniffs the air.

GM: Map with a more detailed description of the room, thanks to the paladin's perception check coming tomorrow. Things are going to move quickly from here on out (on my end anyway :) )

As you gaze as far as you can see into the room you notice a couple of things. One, there is a 20 by 20 square region directly the area of the room that fades to darkness. The ceiling that the ceiling at that point in the room is 30 feet tall. From the midpoint of the sides of the square, you notice a grooved extending perpendicular from the side of the square that extends to the opposite wall from the square side. The groove line then extends down the wall to a height 10 feet off the ground. You guess that that this groove lined pattern repeats on all four sides of the square region. As you sniff the air, you realize that the two square pools you see to your left and your right smell of death.

The water smells of Death. mentions Kamotz as he eases into the room, This place isn't so bad... the dust settles around Kamotz as he finishes the thought. What about the decorations metal man?
