As Grryth brings his axe down upon the warforged, Alexia catches his attention with a nasty swing of her own, giving you the perfect open shot at the back of the warforged's neck. Hitting his mark, he sets off a necromantic chain reaction causing the warforged's own life force to flow into Grryth, transform into necrotic energy, and flow back into the warforged. The lights in the warforged's eyes fade until there is nothing but black empty sockets and it falls to the ground, a last spasm of dark energy escaping from the it's mouth in a long hiss.

[sblock=OOC] Grryths' brutal attack CRITS, dealing 19 damage. (1d20 + 12=32, Max of 2d6+7=19) with an extra 5 necrotic crit damage (1d6=5)!!! That's a total of 24 damage. Who says defenders' can't deal damage, eh? BTW...that KILLS Master Thief... which means you get 2 temp HP from Crushing Surge, which is then bettered by your weapons property, giving you 5 temp HP. (I'm not having Alexia use her Virtue of Valor, as it would be a waste) [/sblock]

Synopsis of Round 3

Seeing his companions getting obliterated, the salesman screams out in frustration!

"Kill them! Kill Them! We MUST find the gem!" Pointing at the warforged behind Lo-Kag he shouts out instructions. "Get over to that stove and get the gem! Move now!" Salesman punctuates his command by throwing another accelerator pod onto the other warforged who practically teleports to the other side of the room, moving so fast that both Lord Jarot and Gurdan miss with their opportunistic weapon swipes.

Gurdan is slightly unsettled as some strange energy flows over him from Alexia's corner and swirls around him in a protective spiral. Undeterred, Gurdan steps in front of the dashing warforged and swings his hammer at the enemy between himself and Garrick. The warforged takes a solid hit directly to the cranium and falls onto the mound of earth brought up by Gurdan's primal magic. The warforged can be seen to have no neck left as his head was forced into his torso.

"Let's cleanup this collection of spare parts, mates!"

While the blur distracts Lo-Kag, the Salesman pulls the dragonborn's blade from his stomach and returns the favor, sticking Lo-Kag in the side with his deadly shortsword as he circles around him.

Lo-Kag grunts as the salesman's sword strikes true. Bloodied, but not beaten, Lo-Kag looks the salesman in the eye and states "well...it looks like it's me vs you. It will take a lot more than that to bring me down." With that, Lo-Kag shifts to the east as to get a bird's eye view of the rest of the combat going on and to prevent the other thief from attacking from behind him. He thrusts his sword towards the salesman's midsection.

Lo-Kag trades another blow with the salesman, this time the weapon glows as it hits the salesman, who now looks visibly weakened.

"Yessssss..." Lo-Kag states in dragonborn native tongue as he does from time to time in the heat of battle. He then turns to the warlock "Let's finish him friend!"

Lord Jarot, who has passed annoyed and is getting plain frustrated, flings another shard of energy that misses it's mark. Grunting with rage as another attack misses Lord Jarot attacks again, but the wily warforged moves out of the way once again. Lord Jarot feels an undeniable mental push, as Gershom tries to claw his way into the physical realm, the features on Lord Jarots face darkening and turning almost feral. Lo-Kag shouts an encouragement to his warlock friend and Lord Jarot is able to maintain control over his psyche.

Garrick curses the master thief who is now in front of him and tries to hit him with no luck, as his blade swings far from his intended target.

At the same time, the Master thief and Garrick's target, who both are fully against Grryth, try to team up with Alexia's attacker to try and take the shifter down in a flurry of attacks. Alexia's sword flashes out at her attacker, fully skewering her enemy. The longsword can be seen dripping oil from it's tip as it protrudes from the back of the warforged before she rips her blade sidways, causing the warforged to lean the other way, practically splitting him in half. She wipes her dirtied blade on his cloak as he slowly spins around before falling to the ground. She turns to the rest of her foes, her eyes flashing red for only a moment before returning to their normal color.

Alexia doesn't even pause between dropping foes. Instead, Alexia confidently strides over to the Master Thief and shows him who the real master is. Snaking her sword into his armor, Alexia yanks back, opening a hole (literally) in his defenses and inflicts a moderate wound in the process, causing some of the warforgeds' internal liquids to spill out.

Although not in the most optimal places, the flurry of distractions around Grryth allow the Master Thief and Grryths' other mark to land a couple of minor hits, though it is nothing that will slow down the shifter more than a second or two. A single drop of blood seeps out from Grryth's armor and lands on the floor with a quiet plop.

Grryth, keeping a close eye on Master Thief and keeping his guard up, moves to the left, past Garrick and around to the other side of the 'forged. A low growl erupts from his throat while he raises his axe. As Grryth brings his axe down upon the warforged, Alexia catches his attention with a nasty swing of her own, giving him the perfect open shot at the back of the warforged's neck.

Round 4

After being stabbed by Lo-Kag's weakening strike, the Salesman drops his dagger, his fingers to weak to manage a solid grip. Scared and frustrated, the warforged uses the closest weapon at his disposal. Swinging the burning pot out from the fireplace, the salesman kicks out at the pot, splashing hot soup in Lo-Kags direction and burning his scaly flesh. The gem slides out from the pot and as the realization of the situation hits him, the salesman cackles with glee.

"Hahahahaha! You FOOLS! You thought you could keep the gem from ME!!! Dash! Keep our friends company. I have bigger fish to fry!"

Picking up the gem, the salesman makes a mad dash for the door, not even caring when Lo-Kag rakes his sword across his back.

While the salesman runs away, Dash does what he does best and runs out the door, taking a couple of hits from Gurdan and Lord Jarot on the way out.

[sblock=ooc]Oh, you have got to be kidding me.[/sblock]

"Oh, you have got to be kidding me," Alexia groans as she sprints across the room. Seeing Lo-Kag, she shouts out "Your ancestors were dragons, were they not? Shouldn't you be soaring on wings of fire?" Strangely, Lo-Kag feels a primordial hunger awaken within him that nearly drags him out the door. Alexia herself stops at the door to see what she can see.

[sblock=Round 4 Actions]Move: Run to F16.
Minor: Majestic Word on Lo-Kag, healing 16 hp and (more importantly) sliding him to F17.
Standard: If I can see the Salesman, I use Cutting Words on him. If I can't see him, but I can see Dash, Cutting Words him instead. Either way, it's +2 vs Will (woo, hooray for the running penalty), 1d8+5 damage, and I pull him two squares towards me. If the target is Dash, I'm going for non-lethal damage. If I can't see anyone from the door, I'll run out to the street and look around.[/sblock]

"Cowardly hunks of junk, get back here!" Gurdan does his best to hustle, hauling his considerable weight towards the door, although clearly moving quickly is not his forte (OOC: Round 4: Dbl run to I17).

Seeing Dash just outside the door, Alexia shouts taunting words laced with arcane magic. The warforged's head snaps back as if he had taken an invisible club to the face and a rage comes over him. Walking back into the door, he yells "WHAT!? YOU THINK YOU CAN STOP US!?"... and then he realizes that he's back inside the house, quickly being surrounded by foes that are not too happy with his master. If he could cry... he would.

Gurdan races past Lord Jarot, avoiding the unstable footing of the splintered table, racing after the Salesman. Unfortunately for Gurdan, Alexia's magical ploy works a little too well, and the warforged blocks Gurdan's path through the door.

[sblock=OOC] Alexia... you lucky little Karnathi witch...lol. Even with the -5 penalty for running, and -2 penalty for cover (from the side of the doorway), you managed to hit that bugger. Oh, wait, I'm sorry, you didn't HIT him... you CRITTED the sucker AND maxed out the crit damage too! This deals the warforged 21 damage and bloodies him big time.

Gurdan: Alexia pulled the warforged into the door before you could get outside to him, but I'm going to let you revise your actions. After your first run, you could do a charge action to attack the warforged, do you want to do this? If not, I'll just move you up to him and have you mark him near the door.

Here's the new map so you guys can make your decision.

OOC: A charge sounds lovely, thanks! Should be +5 vs ac (+9 - 5 for run + 1 for charge), 1d10+7 damage on hit. Mark him if he still lives.

[sblock=Question fo Kalidrev]
I would like to use my opening shove power here. Question: Would one of my allies be able to slip through the door opening if the foe is pushed back one scare to H17?

Round 4
Seeing his foe fee irks Lord Jarot even more, "I won't ALLOW You to get away!" he Snarls. He turns to the wall and disappears as fur and horns start sprouting from his head.

Personality check: 1d20-4=15
Standard action: Otherwind stride to space M9
Free Action: Rage Transformation into Gershom.
Minor action:
Move action:

Occ:It just seemed like the right move. If he can Gershom will Intimidate using the remaining move action, if not it'll just be fluff. If he can intimidate he will use his beguiling tounge as the minor action.

There is another flash and standing on the bridge is a large minotaur Roaring with rage, "COME LITTLE MACHINE AND SEE IF YOU CAN PASS!"

Occ: One last shot for my character to do something this battle!
