Hey Kal, can you please e-mail over the skill challenge info? Also, if you have the next fight ready can you send it as well?

Thanks! I agree with you about skill challenges, most PC's are specialized and the challenges are either easy (with their focused skills) or too hard (non-trained skills).

Grryth dashes after the messenger and manages to keep up with it enough that someone else would have an easier time herding it in the right direction.

[sblock=OOC] Your check was a success. You gain a +2 bonus to your next skill check, or you can give someone else a +2 bonus. You MUST post previous to your roll (or another's roll) when using this bonus. You must use it by the end of your next turn. [/sblock]

INTERCEPTION! Round 2

Seeing that the group was trying to maneuver it in a particular direction, the creature tries to push back, attempting to force the team into the quickly growing throng of people in the streets.

[sblock=OOC] By pushing back and "guiding" the team at the throng, the thing is trying to SLOW you. Because of how fast you are moving along the streets, I am going to consider this an attack against your reflexes that hits 15 reflex for no damage;

IF this hits your reflex, you can handle it one of two ways: 1) Roll an athletics check, DC 20 to "muscle" your way through the crowd. Success indicates that you have managed to make your way through the crowd, albeit you may not have made some people happy in the process. Failure means you get a -2 to your next check in the skill challenge. 2) Roll an Acrobatics check, DC 20 to avoid hitting people by dodging, dashing, rolling, etc. Success indicates that you have managed to make your way through the crowd without bumping into anyone. Failure means that you get a -2 to your next check in the skill challenge.

Occ: The 'attack' misses Gershom. Good thing too thoes are QuestionMark's worst skills.
Ps. Tell me when round three starts beacause i had posted the two skills for round one that should cover round one and two. Unless you want me to choose a diferent action or reroll for round two, Kalidrev.

Alexia effortlessly moves through the crowd like a fish through water.

"Come on! We have to drive it into that tower before it gets away!"

After calling out to her companions, Alexia clambers up some crates onto a low roof, clearly planning to continue the chase above the mass of pedestrians.

[sblock=ooc]Attack misses.
Athletics check to gain elevation: 22.[/sblock]

Lo-Kag rushes through the crowd with ease. Hearing Alexia from the top of the crates, he decides to get some help. He rushes to a group of on-lookers and screams at them "You better help us get that flying thing headed towards that tower or you'll be in a world of hurt! Run after it! NOW!!"

Alexia effortlessly moves through the crowd like a fish through water.

"Come on! We have to drive it into that tower before it gets away!"

After calling out to her companions, Alexia clambers up some crates onto a low roof, clearly planning to continue the chase above the mass of pedestrians. This eases Alexia's travel, as there are plenty of places to cross in this busy part of the city. At her vantage point, she finds it easier to guide her companions.

Lo-Kag rushes through the crowd with ease. Hearing Alexia from the top of the crates, he decides to get some help. He rushes to a group of on-lookers and screams at them "You better help us get that flying thing headed towards that tower or you'll be in a world of hurt! Run after it! NOW!!"

Frightened by the shouting dragonborn, several merchants and customers chase after the thing flying just above the heads of the crowd. This starts a chain reaction that causes more people to start chasing the messenger (some not even knowing why!!), creating a large wall of people in front of and to the side of it, forcing it to constantly change paths to get away from the crowd. Every time it tries to fly away or upward, one hand or another gets a temporary grasp on one of it's tenticals which severely hampers it's ability to get away. You can see it snap out several times with tentacles that lash an arm, chest, or face, but the crowd is too large for it to effectively continue on its path.

Seeing the scene play out before him, Gershom gets the idea that if the crowd could be manipulated to travel in the right direction, they could actually force the creature towards the tower that you want to trap it in.

Alexia: Your check was a success and it provides you with a +2 bonus to your next check. You can choose to give this bonus to someone else but you must announce it in a separate post before their action.

Lo-Kag: Absolutely brilliant idea! So good, in fact, that I am awarding the group with 2 successes for it! That's keepin' me on my toes! Good job!

Gershom: Your Insight check is a success and you will gain a +2 bonus to the next check you make to influence the crowd. You can choose to give this bonus to someone else but you must announce it in a separate post before their action.

Gurdan makes up somewhat for being the slowest of the group by pounding on and on through streets, alleys, and crowds - nudging, pushing, and yes, shouting when necessary to keep the others, and the flying gadget, in his sights. (OOC: Attack misses Gurdan by one, Gurdan endurance check 21)

Gurdan pounds through the streets, alley, and crowds - nudging, pushing, and yes, shouting, when necessary to keep the others, and the flying gadget, in his sights. Little did he know that by doing exactly what he was doing, he was physically herding the dragonborn incensed crowd toward the messenger. Now all you need to do is get that thing into the tower door and you should be able to lock it down.
