When the group makes it's way down to the guards' station, where the crowd is forming, a very obvious and scary picture unfolds before you.

The bodies of guards lay strewn on the ground around the perimeter of the building and there is a hole in the side of the building facing you that, as you peer through, was obviously once a large holding cell. This holding cell is now empty and a few more guards bodies can be seen lying on the floor inside of the building (on the other side of the cell's bars).

Standing near one of the guards bodies with a shocked, dazed, and scared look on his face is the gnome who only earlier today you made a deal with. He has several deep cuts across his chest, and his hands are covered in blood and oil. Seeing the group approach through the crowd, his eyes light up and he breathes a sigh of relief.

"Oh! Alexia! I'm glad you're here! I was in the middle of repairing that messenger that you traded me for and was poking around in it's memory module. I must have accidentally touched it with my hands, because I saw a flash of light and a single word flashed before me. That word was "Daskaran". I'm not sure what or who Daskaran is, but if it was kept in the memory module of the messenger, then it must be important. Anyways, as soon as that happened, the messenger came back online and started attacking me! It flew off towards this station and I chased after it as quick as I could. When I got here, I found... this..." he said, waving both arms out slowly to indicate the carnage.

Alexia's eyes wander to the gnome's wounds, "Uh, you should really have those looked at..." She shakes her head and inspects the scene. "Are all these guards dead?" Then she addresses the crowd behind her. "Did anybody see what happened here? Does anyone know what happened to the prisoner?"

[sblock=ooc]Is there some knowledge skill I can roll to see if I recognize "Daskaran"?[/sblock]

Lo-kag moves forward through the crowd. "Stand aside citizens! I must get through to check out the cell block." As he moves into the blown out wall, he turns to the crowd and states "And you better tell the lass the truth or you'll hear from me! We need all the information we can get in order to put a stop to this madness!"

[sblock=Alexia] For information on Daskaran, roll a History check. [/sblock]

Lo-Kag parts the crowd like a fish does water. When you get to the empty cell, you can see a few blood stains on the ground, like maybe there had been some kind of fight. Other than that, the few dead guards inside of the station, and the blown out wall, there is nothing of significance that you can find in the guard station.

The citizens that have gathered around the Guard Station are as confused as the group is. Many of them remark that they gathered there after hearing a large boom and seeing a large dust-cloud. One citizen, a drunken half-orc Cyran refugee, commented aloud that he saw a large covered cart that contained a "wall destroyer" that was headed out of the city... but he was shooed away and his speech taken as drunken idiocy.

[sblock=History Results] Daskaran is an abandoned town in the North Eastern section of Aundair near the Silver Wood, a short distance from the border of Karrnath. It is almost entirely unremarkable, other than the fact that it was burned to the ground and lay in ruins. [/sblock]

As soon as they get there, Garrick finds himself shocked at the sight. So much for peace and quiet. What intrigues him however is who would dare to make such a mess in Sharn?

Well, this is certainly a problem. We can now be sure this is something big ... no thieves guild would dare to mess with the city enforcers this way over some cash.

What should we do? It seems we'll have to gather more information on what's happening before we move, as we're basically blind right now, with little leads to follow.

Alexia replies while lightly stepping through the mess, "We're going to need to question the other theft victims. It doesn't look like there's much left here for us to use."

ooc: Is Dash's body around here?
