"That's good." Troi says, nodding as the dwarf begins to work. "Now, let's get ready fer the worst, y'know? Don't wanna be caught unawares or anythin'..." He pulls out his whip, and holds it at the ready.

Thugan determines that the door is untrapped, and seems to have benen locked quicky, as there is a it of bent mechanism in the interior. the lock looks to be of human design, nothing fancy, though sturdy.
Unlocking the door easily, Thurgan opens the door and stands back, with Thale, Troi and the others at the ready.
A pungeant (unknown) smell wafts out of the dark room, as if some beast were withing.
Suddenly, a leaping form the size of a pony hurls out, a great Wolf-like beast, launching for Velbrik (the only one that it can see).
Thale swings, missing, as does Troi's lash. Thurgan stabs the beast in the side <AofOp 11 HP including Sneak>, and Felix also gets in a kick <2HP>.
The Worg bites savagely at the Bard <hit, 10HP,ugh>, as well as knocing him prone <Trip>.

the Worg is within striking distance of you all, so I am going to just move through this a bit.
Velbrik stabs at the beast , missing it.
Thale hacks as well,though his blow fails to connect.
Troi, seeing that his whip would do less help than his blade, with Velbrik underneath, stabs deeply into the Worg's flank <Crit, 12 HP>.
Felix also scores a hit <3HP>
Thurgan swings a savage blow at the shoulders of the Worg <12HP>, the beast falling dead upon poor Velbrik.
Thale and Thurgan quickly pull it off, seeing the wounded (though slightly comical) sight of velbrik's fine clothes covered in pungeant Worg-Blood. One could have better days...

ooc/ you know I have a rapier for when I don't use the bow right Uriel? 
Just checking did we go through the door that was wedged down the corridor or the one that was locked in the first room?

He shakes his head. "I'm not gonna get in any practice with th' whip, if we keep runnin' inta these nasty critters." He kicks the corpse. "Damn critters..."
Noting that Felix is moving about the room, Troi also takes a quick glance around. "Findin' anythin'?" He asks.

OoC: I rolled for troi's Lonwsword. yes, I know Felix has a sword. You have shot arrows more than gone in with sword, however, so I reasoned that you had bow in hand. You could not have drawn and struck, seeing as it was an Attack of Op. besides, a boot to the Worg's head was cool.
