[Adventure] Trouble in Moonwatch (Judge: THB) - Part II

"We are in search of a group of Flamist." replies River, who gives a quick description of the group. "They have been on the track of some Khyberist, but the church lost contact with them."

The man turns to River, the woman still staring at Valahad's rugged good looks, "Khyberists you say? Well why didn't you mention that before? We gotta a lot of problems with them around here, disruptin' the dragonshard trade, trying to muscle in on someofthe orc tribes around here, even converted a few of them that I heard. So ya say that you're looking for someone like that eh? I seem ta recall someone like that moving through here a few months back, maybe four or so. He was wild looking, mud and brambles in his hair, a string of teeth around his neck, he wasn't wearing no armor, just carrying a large sword and a waterskin. He traveled with some cloaked fella, they didn't make no trouble, but seem ta remember them wanting to sail up the river north. Most people in their right minds wouldn't take them, only one did and he never returned. If you're looking to follow him, I'd suggest going to talk to old Glasur, he's got a small riverboat, but after Khyberists killed his family in a small villiage in the Marches he just been drinking at the Sundial Tavern. Maybe you could convince him to take ya? Anyways, if you're looking for somewhere a little nicer to clean up, perhaps the Cobblestones Inn, it's where House Tharaskers hang out" the male says.

Also, this is a perfect place if you would like to buy any supplies let me know. Consumables, potions, whetstones and alchemal items up to 10th level are available, with a 25% price increase due to the remoteness of this place. Also, due to the flow of dragonshards from the Marches, up to 5th level Shards are available here, but no price increase, standard EPG prices apply. No magic weapon/armor emporium however.

We'll handle purchases off-camera, just make a not in your next post + update your sheet with the link to that.[/sblock]

"Thank you for your help," the kalashtar says in the pair's mind. "After we get cleaned up, why don't you meet us for ales. Anything else you can remember I am sure will be helpful." The paladin lets his gaze linger of Kaia for a moment.

[sblock=ooc]I don't need a passive insight of 28 to figure out what she is thinking. ;) [/sblock]

"Thank you for the information. By the way, we have met some of the cultist on our road. Some of them are doppelganger or changeling. Most have fallen under their blades." tells River, referring to his companions "but one have escaped. If you have seen a lone person coming in during the last 48 hours, it might be him. He will be most likely be as wet and stinking as us."

Kaia blushes for a moment, but then turns her attention to River, "Well, can't say I seen anyone come in, but tell ya what, we're off in a couple hours. You get cleaned up, I'll ask around and see if I can find anything out from some of the other guards. I could meet you at Cobblestones Inn for a drink after and some discussions?" she says

"Sounds good to me. Thanks for your help. It is most welcomed." replies River before entering the city and heading toward the Cobblestones.

"Thanks, see you soon" the half-orc says.

Update coming tomorrow likely, unless Pok, Korthauk, Feall, or Sheeva want to add anything? [/sblock]

Kortauhk wisely stays quiet during the verbal exchange with the guards. He may be stupid, but he was smart enough to know when his lack of verbal skills would just get in the way. As the guards let the group pass, Kortauhk smiles and waves at both of the helpful guards. As they walk toward the Inn, Kortauhk turns to Sheeva.

"Guard peoples be nice! Kortauhk no think he see nice guard peoples. In Kortauhk place up in mountain, guard peoples be not nice to people what not told what be at place. Sheeva think Kortauhk and peoples find bad guys soon?"

"No Kortauhk, I think it might be a long time before we find the bad guys." Sheeva sighs.

"But in the meantime, I'm hoping it might be a short time before I find a bath." Sheeva smiles as her pace picks up and she starts looking for an inn.
